Thank you for this Thread!
Should probably add MurdocLoch's "Working Stiff" as an entry level thing, it's definitely harder than most extremes.
I'll update the thread a bit once I have the time to, propably tomorrow
I think your definition of Gimmicks is used incorrectly. Fender hooks, in my opinion are not gimmicky, its a well known part of the game that is required on most ninja tracks, or at least to save yourself. Gimmicky to me would be a ninja difficulty track that uses physics or other movements/outside forces, ie. not a static track. Just an opinion, considering a bunch of your labeled pure tracks require fender hooks. Maxxi's tracks are a good example of gimmicky stuff imo.
I might be wrong in the definition but in my opinion a fenderhook is a gimmick as it requires the bike to move in a wildly unnatural manner. Therefore, if a track *mainly* consists of fenderhooks (just those for the sake of discussion), I'd label it as being a gimmicky track. A required fenderhook here and there on a track that otherwise doesn't require wildly imaginary techniques i.e. Dodecahedron is, in my opinion, a "Pure" track even with a couple of hooks.Originally Posted by theboshos

In my book those are Gimmicky in-game tracks (very physics based)
- sewage plant
- physics factory
- mind bender
Theres a couple more in the HD warehouse with moving parts/explosives that you have to slowly drive over etc.
And there are customs with moving stuff that are far more gimmicky then those. (and yes maxixi has a lot of those)
(my mechanical vapor track, with the moving cogwheel and steam powered jump near the end is sorta gimmicky, and not ninja, still probably mislabeled easy as it's phoenix only but still
Fender hooks, rail hanging and backwards wheely, or 1 wheel parts are imo ninja skill things but on non-moving objects I call them pretty much just "special techniques" you see mostly only in ninjas and harder custom extremes.
Just my opinion.
Ninja's Predicament by Osoguineapig is one of the better more difficult tracks - released today. And in case anyone was wondering (which you weren't) 'Hmm I wonder how close Danners got to 0'ing this?' then WONDER NO MORE:
Spoiler: Show
I played that track, Danners...
Nice video about that track InquisitorFIN.![]()
Dead thread died early??
