I've really got into black metal, well, I could say extreme metal in general but but i'm not into the new school of death metal at all. Over-produced blast beats, layered vocals and way too loud mixing kill any trace of atmosphere the songs might still have left in them. Anyway, back to the point, Black, doom, and oldschool death metal plus the odd thrash band in there to be precise.

These are pretty much the only metal bands I've listened to in the past three months (though I'm hesitant to call Bone Awl metal), and I'm pretty sure noone apart from stiggy has heard of them.

Edit: that last song you posted is god awful (OPINION), Badger. Nice to know that your friends are doing well however.
