BlueBadger's 'Metal Music You Might Not Know' -Thread

It's autumn and I really like to listen to metal at this time of year. So in this thread I'm posting Metal songs that you might not know but songs you should at least give a try. There's a lot of good Finnish metal bands but most of them are only known to Finnish people so in this thread you can educate yourself about metal music made in Finland!

Let's start with a symbolic music video! There's a English lyrics version next to the music video but I didn't want to post only that because the quality is pretty bad.

This is the ultimate Scandinavian metal band, ever. All metal bands today are influenced by either This group Or Venom

    This is bathory.

Bathory was a Swedish extreme metal band formed in Vällingby in 1983 and named after the infamous Hungarian countess, Elizabeth Báthory. The band's frontman and main songwriter was Quorthon (Thomas Forsberg). Bathory's first four albums were "the blueprint for Scandinavian black metal". The band departed from this style on their fifth album, Hammerheart (1990), which is often cited as the first Viking metal album. Bathory continued in the Viking metal style throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, although the band returned to thrash metal with the albums Requiem (1994) and Octagon (1995). Bathory ended when Quorthon died from heart failure in 2004.

I would argue that without Black Sabbath there wouldn't had been Venom or Bathory. There would't be an album sounding like Master Of Reality if Tommy Iommi wouldn't have lost parts of his fingers. If you want to dig really deep there would be Black Sabbath without blues or the Beatles (or drugs). But I'm not here to fight about which proto-metal band is the most hardcore. I'm here to spread the love

Here's a cover from a famous Finnish band, the original recording is from a band that was heavily infulenced by Bathory

This is from one of the best progressive metal albums ever made IMO, ironically enough this song is not so progressive. But it's awesome. If you like Warhammer 40K or Isaac Asimov this album is awesome. It's all in Finnish again, but this music video kinda shows the theme of the whole album.

Try this one. Same video, pretty much equal quality.

Still doesn't work. The band restricted it to certain places on the link you provided. Looks really interesting, is there any unofficial videos of them ?
