If anyone here is a fan of survival horror I strongly recommend checking out a game called Outlast. It's one of the most potent representations of this genre I've yet found. Though its angle is a little different, I'd rank the strength of its overall effect right up there alongside Amnesia: The Dark Decent. There were times the dreadful-tension got so thick I had to step away from the keyboard, turn on the lights, and collect myself. It's certainly not a flawless game, but it does what it does exceedingly well.

It earned every bit of its M-rating, it is not suitable for the squeamish, easily offended, or kids. Currently, it's only available for PCs and can be found on Steam or GOG for around $20. I hear a PS4 version of it is in the works. It takes around 5 to 6-hours to play through and its aggregate rating has been bouncing between 79-80%.
