I have it preordered for 360 and One...I'll be picking it up on Tuesday. I know going in that it will be similar to other COD games but it is still a new game with new maps, guns, modes, etc.
Let's party up on Tuesday!
How can you have an opinion on a game that's not out?Originally Posted by InquisitorFIN

Anyone still play BF 1943?
Propably the same way that you already think it's worth getting. Or the way I can have an opinion on politics without being involved.Originally Posted by ClutchMystaFlex
Or, you know, taking into consideration all the info released so far and forming an opinion based on that.
If you're allowed to think the game is worth getting, I'm allowed my opinion on the subject.
I dont mind the people that say they dont like Call of Duty - the people that bother me, are the ones that dont play it and scream "same game every year, milking it etc etc" without saying what they actually want from the game, what needs to be changed, and what its missing.
There is always a new story, there are always new maps, weapons, perks, equipment, killstreaks, attachments etc, theres been a range of new modes introduced; zombies, survival, theatre, combat training, codcasting, squads as well as the individual playlist changes and additions - and maybe that stuff is not enough for people.
But if its not enough, and you want more radical changes to be made, look elsewhere, like you would in any other scenario.
The reason those big changes are not made, is because there is no need for them to be made - CoD reached a point a while ago imo, where all it warrants is streamlining - perfecting the formula with slight improvements each time, just like FIFA.
I'll be getting it for the same reason I always get it, they are consistently great multiplayer games that are a lot of fun with friends.
Smooth, slick controls; consistently high frame-rate; rewarding progression; practical customisation & room for tactical play if your team is capable.
I also generally prefer Infinity Ward's installments, the maps feel better balanced to me. Looking forward to it![]()

I don't care if people like it or not, I know I enjoy playing it.
They change/add a good amount of things each year and for me that's enough.
I wouldn't want them to change too much and make it a completely different game, I love COD the way it is.
Be cautious people. I'm probably the biggest CoD player here (121 MOABs for example) but they do milk the **** out of it, and also the new infinity ward are not excellent designers. MW3: Death Streaks (DMH), child-friendly maps, support streaks, copy n paste guns, copy n paste challenges. Granted they added cool stuff too (I love specialist), but MW3 ultimately was a half assed effort.
I'll be picking up Ghosts second hand as I don't like how Activision operate. DLC practices for example, and there is no way I'm supporting them when there are a ton of excellent passion-driven games out there completely overlooked by the ignorant.
Ghosts has it's share of issues already, in my observations:
NO Theatre mode.
Squad callouts: Teammate's characters automatically shout when an enemy is in range. Good bye stealth.
Support streaks are back in full game breaking style.
A perk that increases bullet damage. Rediculous.
A package than any noob can get, pass the simplest of challenges and call in an Odin strike. Sigh.
Additionally, MOABs may be goneBut that's speculation.
And can aim assist be removed now FFS, or at least the intensity be reduced? Need a higher skill cap.
And the terrible singleplayer campaign, just like Halo, BF, Gears, which are all a disgrace to REAL singleplayer shooters.
But the multiplayer. Fun but flawed. Just be cautious, and buy the game second hand otherwise you will be cursed. The games ARE as everyone says they are. Same game. Sure they do change a ton more than everyone thinks, more than other big shooter franchises too, but what message does it send to the industry when the consistently top selling franchise of all time is
rushed out game with notable copy n paste, the same formula and a mindless singleplayer campaign?
It's not good, and it's just one factor into why some of my numerous adored game series has been destroyed.
I agree with apdenton1. At least they should lower the price if they keep doing the copy n paste. I'm not willing to spend $60 anymore for a company that does the same thing every year. My money will go to Titanfall, a game that atually tries to inovate
Im looking forward to trying extinction mode, it will be interesting to see what it is like. obviously i will play multiplayer alot for the competitive side of things and I am liking the look of the point system with perks.
I personally liked modern warfare 3 but i didnt bother with the dlc, black ops 2 i got the dlc and thats not a bad game either imo.
Obviously all cods have their flaws but so do all games. Im gonna wait til i have watched a few videos and seen some peoples opinions before i get ghost though.
+1 on willys fifa comment (although im not a fifa fan)
