Im a pixel ***** i suppose, in years to come the televisions should be huge but the bigger the tvs get, the more pixels were gonna need just to get the same graphics of a smaller tv. Imo 720p isnt going to be enough for the xbone to last anywhere near as long as xbox 360 has.
I don't really get this side of the argument. Xbox one supports 3D and 4k which is nearly 4 times the resolution of 1080p.Originally Posted by H3X23
Does anyone really think Microsoft would be so short sighted as to think 720p is the future? Please.
If certain games come out at 1080 for ps4 and 720 for xbox one it's more than likely due to The established developer of the franchise demanding crazy amounts of money to appear better on that platform.
Like I said before, look to the exclusives and not to multi platform cash bringers like COD that people will buy even if it turned out to be total crap.
Also, Xbox one games will support both native 4k resolution and upscaling to 4k.
Sony have said their console would support 4k output but not for playing games.
It's all irrelevant as we don't have the T.V's to handle that resolution yet.
Just buy what you want, there is no better console.
Not sure how to feel reading all of this. I've graduated to the snobby PC elitist and haven't looked back.
No longer is my gaming confined to the limits of a pre-manufactured system.![]()

THese new systems are struggling to play games are 60 FPS and 1080p. That blows my mind, the Wii U freakin plays games 60 FPS and 1080p...
I plan to sit this generation out for a few years...
Microsoft & Nintendo's "next generation" is not focused on powerful hardware.Originally Posted by jook13
Microsoft is focusing on entertainment, that can be when you are playing a game; greater social platform; new blockbuster exclusives; and the power of cloud.
Sony is focusing most of 100% giving players a high end living room console, and that's it.
Xbox One CAN play 1080p (even 4K), it's just that it would lag on CoD Ghosts, so they turned down the resolution instead frame rates because CoD games require high frame rates to play this game proper.Originally Posted by Jook13
There are several games that will run 1080p @ 60Hz on Xbox One, like Forza 5 or Titanfall (which are exclusives), so I guess you didn't know about the resolution cap on XO.

Remember project Gotham racing 3? ( playstation fans, you missed out. ) Now remember PROJECT GOTHAM RACING 4. Remember 3 at launch was amazing, then 4 came along and re wrote the rule book on graphics.
I totally get you. For people with larger displays that higher resolution makes all the difference. These consoles (while better) aren't the relative leap that 360/ps3 were at the time.Originally Posted by H3X23
Strongly disagree. Supporting certain output resolutions and having hardware powerful enough to render the latest games at those resolutions are two separate things. I assure you there will be no true 4k game on xbox one (pong perhaps?) and obviously not on ps4 either. If we get 1080p @30/60 we'll be lucky.Originally Posted by SP1NALFLU1D
