Issues with having Effects trigger just once....

Even with the "reset in checkpoint" turned off, when the checkpoint resets, the effects in the area will trigger no matter what. I've gotten around it sometimes, by adding a separate trigger at whichever checkpoint is giving me an issue...and linking it to an Effect OFF button, linked to the effect I don't want anymore.
Has anyone encountered this? And am I overlooking something?

I've turned off "reset in checkpoint" on the trigger, the effect, and so on.

The same goes for sounds sometimes. I'm guessing it's an issue with the editor.

I would guess this is the first thing you checked but still.. you haven't just left the effect/sound as 'enabled' have you? lol

Not a bad guess and I wouldn't put it past me...hahah, but no. I wish it was that easily fixed...seems like an editor issue.

did you check already if your trigger mechanism isn't reactivating it because a new impulse is send when you press b?

Wouldn't you hit B in game to get back to the checkpoint? I figure it's the same in the editor.
    Am I misunderstanding you?

i mean instead of the effect being bugged that in your trigger chain you might have done something wrong that causes it to send a new impulse and retriggers the effect
