Re: Will Fusion use the "Snowdrop" engine?
Very true Blastergamer. Any big title gets an auto 9.0. EA makes the same game every year, nothing new in many franchises, but always a high rating. I don't doubt that some companies that spend a bit advertising at IGN are probably favored in reviews. It's just good business. I don't think they rate terrible games high, but I'm sure another point or 2 are shaded, when reviewing a big title.
If your buddy gives you 20 grand to advertise on your site, you aren't going to hook up the game review? It's not just the game industry, but any review.
On the Fusion game engine, if they just modify the current engine, it's not really next gen. I think "next gen" is a selling bullet point used by many companies, but just because it says "next gen" doesn't make it so. The Division...that's next gen, same with Ryse....all graphically speaking. If Fusion looks close to either, it's next gen in my book...otherwise just a sales tactic. Even COD ghosts, with all the cash behind it, looks this generation....dogs and edge smoothing(tesselation)? Really..haha
