I've had various issues over my 25 years of gaming

Pulled muscles from track & field games along with calluses, wrist strain from hand position when holding pads for prolonged sessions everyday for a long while (worse since 360 when pads became really heavy) an absolutely shot lower back through lack of movement...eye spasms from gaming for 75 hours in a week, curse you final fantasy 7

im also sure I've had a similar thing to you before, I pretty much lost the ability to move my fingers properly for a few days, getting cramp constantly along with losing some feeling in my fingers

Re: Ever heard of this thumb Injury? DeQuervains Syndrome

I get a pain in the same sort of area on my left hand since heavily playing trials but its not the games fault its the 360 controller i think. The way it is shaped at the back (although imo nearly perfect) and the precision you need on the left stick seems to make it ache after years of playing. If youre using a 360 controller this could be why. Have a look at the back of the controller and look where it hurts. I dont know if yours is in the same place as mine but i have no solution either way lol
