got a hole-in-one on golf yesterdayfound it gives good xp too if you can consistently hit a few under par.
unfortunately last night my character (lvl16) got deleted. apparently it happens because its saved to R* cloud server not the game server or some crap.
so if that level of unreliability and disappointment is what we can look forward to with nextgens cloud-this-and-cloud-that era, I cannot wait!![]()

Willy as long as you don't create a new character you should get your old one back as soon as you reestablish a connection to the cloud. Can't guarantee anything atm though, haven't lost a character since day 2 now but am prepared for the worst.
theres been mixed reports on that so im not getting my hopes up - ive created a new one in a different slot, if the other returns then its all good I guess.Originally Posted by JoeRegular
in the mean time (and for anyone else in this situation) I think its safe enough to go for money rather than rank/accessories, because money seems to stick around even when your character doesnt - so as long as you dont rank up a lot and buy cars and houses and spend tons of mulah on things, you wont be losing too much if the worst happens![]()
(although some people have lost money also, but not many)
also from the gta forums, its apparently more safe to exit multiplayer by pausing, going to the online tab and choosing "Leave GTA Online" rather than switching to a singleplayer character etc
Yep..Do this always..Remember read dead redemption, and people loosing all their online progress??? Do this what willy has suggested, just to make sure it saves correctly...also from the gta forums, its apparently more safe to exit multiplayer by pausing, going to the online tab and choosing "Leave GTA Online" rather than switching to a singleplayer character etc
Haven't done that once myself, left the game by switching to single player from the character wheel every time.
My character has suddenly vanished, as well as all the money I made in online, and Ive always saved it via the pause menu 'leave gta online'.
I hope it gets fixed and my character somehow returns or I cant see the point in playing online for the sake of loosing all my work again.
