I really don't care what music is playing. I love all things hip hop but the Evo and HD music were fine. For a laugh I do hope they commission a Dan Bull track, the Evo one he did was really good.
BUT, in line with NSPIVeNoMz's comments about fast music for fast tracks etc.. What I think would be really nice to have is sort of procedurally generated music that alters along with the rider... fast for fast sections and fast as you get close to the finish line, and different stuff for different situations. Dynamic music to fit the pace of the track rather than the level design if that makes sense??? Sorry if that is a rubbish suggestion, I didn't give it much thought
Also, if I was working there, there would be a secret audio track that only played when you are one fault off the hardest achievement where the music cuts off and its just the dev team heckling you saying you are going to choke and you can't do it.. then laughing at you when you fail.
Would love to see ways to dynamicly change music via triggers, and options to fade 2 tracks into eachother by distance like a "sound area effector" , also options for better behaviour based on checkpoint restarts, and an option to change the in-game music itself, and change volume of it in areas, with the same area effector (sometimes some scenes can focus on sound effects, some on music, to add more drama/style).
Same opinion on music type still stands, classical, techno, hiphop etc is fine as long as it's varied, and also a whole bunch of theme/movie-like/landscape/historic music to theme tracks.
For me Trials Fusion is future.
So if i would ad music to trials, hell no to head bang / hardcore gitar / yelling singers
Music for trials should be exiting. music like fighting a boss in a game.
Imagine a ninja race track in trials fusion and u listen to this:
wouldnt that more fun?
