Firstly As always, This Is not me ranting or anything of that nature.
I am Posting this as an informative post, It seems that alot of users have been posting serious problems with the game and not being replied to.
I have been asked by many to come here and say something.
Now I'm not going to complain, It's not in my nature to do that. But what I will do is highlight the current major game issues everyone is experiencing:



Multiplayer Crashing


Baring in Mind that a lot of the players on the PC want to be practicing supercross right now and haven't been able to for 4 days straight.
I wasn't experiencing any problems, Until today and have not updated anything on my PC so concurrently, It has to be a server side issue thats causing all this.

The game crashes 5 seconds after I click Online, and also when I accept a game invite. (You can read my previous post about it here)

I also get a notice that steam is disabled for some reason, but that has been happening for some time now, and I have had no problem playing multi. Only today when I booted multi up did it immediately crash.

This crash is persistent as well, and happens every time I boot multi up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Same problem here, steam disabled for some reason when getting online.
And crash sometimes when trying to get online
Also Track central load time is rediculous long

Dear Redlynx, are you aware of this issue? (multiplayer crashing since Sep. 20th)
What will happen to those who qualify for the semi-finale if the multiplayer isn't working by then?

And apparently, checking supercross stats on the leaderboard is also crashing my game.

The one thing I will say is, If the xbox multiplayer had been down for 4 days straight, there would be an uproar right now,
Literally people would of been shot in the chaos ensued.



Private game crashing

Most people are unable to join others in Private matches,
Naturally as multiplayer has been down for the past 4 days, we though good shout would be to practice supercross in private lobbies.
But as with multiplayer for most people when clicking "accept" on the Uplay overlay the game crashes and we are unable to connect to eachother in private lobbys.




Steam Disabled

I also get a notice that steam is disabled for some reason, but that has been happening for some time now

For the longest time we have had this pop up in Multiplayer, But this was there before the recent major issues



Track Central

I notice it's even slower then normal, and bugged recently.
Couple recent issues:
-It often stays stuck at loading for like 2 mins and then nothing happens
-If you select a category it sometimes is a completely different one, or it jumps back to the index
-Track downloads send me back to the feeds, and then say "track downloaded" after like 3 mins
-If you play a downloaded track with that lag it stays stuck on loading the track forever.
-I saw 2 times in a row in the New Trials feed it brought me to a completely other one, RL picks I think. (happened randomly with other feeds as well)
-Leaderboards load also very slowly as of today
Hopefully it's being worked on, as I know the xbox had some TC issues as well, not sure if they are related.

I can confirm that track central is taking a vacation right now,
Chilling on the beach with the turtles.

I hardly go in TC now because it is so slow. It's so damn frustrating. How the hell has this problem gotten worse? No excuse for this. Trials gold is pretty much being abandoned in my opinion. Whenever issues are brought up we get a response, one or two issues get fixed then others pop up. I really don't know who to blame for these continuing issues that are shared by multiple people. The game has been out for months and there is still persistent issues. I'm not very happy. Shogun, Shifty, what's the deal guys? I legitimately want to know. Not singling either of you guys out as you both have tried hard to get issues addressed. Which I really do appreciate. There is still a good number of trials players on PC who are passionate about the game. I would hate for that to fall out due to game performance issues.

Can take up to 3 minutes for a section to load,
Sometimes it will also bug out and have all the tracks listed over the categories in the background, Like seeing two screens in one.

I said before how i was crashing when loading customs, which was my only real issue with the game.But before a few days it started again. I noticed it was after a small update on Uplay, not the game itself. It crashes every second custom track you're trying to load. It might crash on the third, but usually it does it on the second. Which is more often than the older issue. Starting the game again and playing the same track will work fine, but it will crash on the next or the one after that, again.

Track Replays

Track replays are breaking all the time now, More then they ever have in the past.
It is very rare that a replay saves to the server without corrupting.
Thought I should mention this.




Launching the Game

I'm on uplay and when I click 'play' trials gold edition it just says 'game running' and doesn't do anything or change. There are no background program's running and there is also no game running so can I have some assistance thanks.

I have the same problem on my pc . task manager says its running but no application actually appears .
Was playing the game today(14/09/2013), it crashed and now it wont start .

i5 3570k
660 ti
8Gb ram
Win 7

Run as admin wont work , run from folder (trialsFMX.EXE) wont work and compatibility wont do anything either ... anyone have any ideas on how to fix it ?

Also, Uplay reinstall did not work.
Nor did a game re-install .
gpu drivers update and rollback did nothing. windows is up to date ....

I had this problem too. Uplay updated, game wouldn't start altough it got loaded in the task manager. I reinstalled it (from steam) and it worked again. The next day, steam updated and uplay, got the same problem again. Steam was reacting weird ( i tried reinstealling and at some point my other games on steam weren't working anymore too), steam also tried updating every time I launched it. I tried alot to fix the issue but in the end I reinstalled windows and it worked again. Maybe if you try uninstalling everything, and making sure everything is out of the registery's it might work, but I have no idea to be honest.

Re-installing windows fixed the problem.

I will add that as of today, Things have drastically changed for even me, The game takes 1 minute to load showing nothing but a black screen before the "press start" screen appears

Additionally sometimes the game loads without an internet connection when everything is online.




Stats error

Since the last update I always get this error when I go into stats in the single player menu.

"Error loading friends
could not retrieve friends from server"

Before the update the game crashed every time while loading them. I have been stuck with a rival I set when I bought the game who doesn't play anymore but I can't reset it since stats is broken for me since then. It only worked a few times when I got lucky in the first month of playing the game.

In conclusion we love you RL, we know you are busy with fusion but with the upcoming tournament please help us out.

*Update*

There are no crash reports created upon the following game crashes:

- Multiplayer online (Game crashes as soon as you select the online option, nothing loads just crashes)
- Private games (Game crashes as a user attempts to connect to another after selecting "accept" on the invite from the uplay overlay)
- Leaderboards (Game crashes as a user looks at the Supercross, or Hardcore Trials Leaderboards, Crashes immediately)

The above folder has no crash reports for the various ways that the game is crashing at the moment
