Anyone remembers road rash? This takes me back to the good old days, can't wait to play it![]()
yeah, I hope they won't be overpowered. I'm waiting to actually play it first before I judge it tough, still a long way to release date so they probably will change a few things.
"Gun combat is a minor part of the game, as ammo is a scarce resource in the world of Road Redemption. There's no such thing as auto-aim, so when you do make that shot, it's 100% your doing."
If it's well balanced with an option to toggle guns off I think it will be no problem.
I backed it a while back. In my opinion guns in games SHOULD be OP. They're guns. They should also be hard as hell to shoot accurately while aiming with one hand while riding a motorcycle at 88mph.
I was a huge fan of Road Rash back in the day, played the hell out of all of em. The video looks great, and I agree that the guns seem to work well. Looks like they are really powerfull but tough to aim. Seems balanced to me....Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai
Looking forward to this one the originals are classics.
Oh man, takes me back. Road Rash was my favorite Sega Genesis game.
Me and a friend put in countless hours into this one. My favorite weapon was the chain.![]()

Even as a kid I wasn't really a fan of Road Rash. Just a simple bike game where you couldn't see more than a few meters in front of you (damn pot holes and such)
Games like Streets of Rage and Earthworm Jim just had more value to me, more skill-based, more gameplay depth, replayability, music variety and so on.
Or Final Fantasy VI, Donkey Kong, many more, just **** all over it.
For racing games specifically for the sake of better comparison, I did like Mario Kart and F-zero was OK, could actually see obstacles before they approached. At least that's possible in this new one.
Dunno, maybe I just sucked at Road Rash, but I always thought it was overhyped, that it was popular just because you could beat people up on bikes. This new one does look like they have improved the fighting a lot too, looks kinda cool.
I really liked road rash. It was so much fun outrunning cops, smashing people off their bikes listening to the 8-bit metal music. Quite therapeutic actually!![]()
On the other hand, I really thought this looked bad.
