    Re: GTA Midnight Release

The faithful will be back once the honeymoon period with GTA is over. That being said I am expecting alot of casuals to drop off, but that's my own speculation only.

this post will contain spoilers so do not read it if youre not up for it

so whats the verdict then ppl?

im not that far into the game, but i spent many hours yesterday cruising, doing a few missions but mostly cruising around the map getting settled.

i LOVE that you can change the vehicle camera. for the past few games, ever since vice city, the camera has been placed awkwardly low, but now you have the option to change it to high. this means the world to me.

the way michael and franklin so quickly became friends was a little unrealistic, they could have made the transition better, seems like michael was holding franklin at gunpoint in a repoed car only to plan and work a heist together the next moment. but whatever, not a big deal.

the IGN review was a little weird, the chick said "the days of 'go here, chase this guy, shoot this guy' are behind us" but after some 10-15 missions, that sums up most of what ive been doing. im sure later missions will be better and that i have only scratched the surface a little, but the opening missions could have been a little more creative.

i love the map, its gigantic and you can do a lot of cruising. at daytime the world is well lit and the surroundings look great. its real inviting to just randomly wander around. lots of things on the minimap to choose from at any given time, random events occuring, standard missions, yeah, im loving it.

just unlocked trevor, and i thought the first missions sucked. just shoot a bunch of guys while learning how to use the cover taking to its full potential.

the wanted star system is tough as bricks now, you pretty much have to be smart now. taking on the cops head-on like you used to in earlier GTAs is a lost cause now. you take a few bullets and thats it, youre history. but i like it, i like the stealth factor, hiding in alleys and stuff.

havent reached that defining "wow, i love this game" moment yet, but i woke up today with the urge to play it while i was having my morning coffee (and nothing ever messes with that moment for me usually) so that says something. all in all this WILL be the best GTA ever, and one of the best games of all time, if not the best. GTA is srs bizniz for me, and for a lot of you as well im sure.

    back to it!

I won't be playing Trials for a while since I'm having way too much fun with this game.
I'm pretty sure I'll come back to it eventually though, just not right now.

Probably not tbh. Unless they arent going nextgen at launch. I think a lot will go GTA and/or Fifa, then nextgen until Fusion. Time will tell.

Yeah I'm having fun with GTA but I'll still be back on Trials in a day or 3.

I cant stand this soundtrack. Every game before this was better, not counting 1 and 2, I don't remember those games well. Strangely enough, I find the rap station the best. I HATE RAP WITH ALL MY SOUL. but yet, some of the horrible things they rap about at least sounds kinda good, compared to the trash on the other channels.

Just awful. I want to ride to silence....but that just feels weird. Shame.

Damn, that doesn't give me hope.

The original Grand Theft Auto had an excellent soundtrack btw:
