Or you could complain now so they don't even consider f2p on 'real' trials games.Originally Posted by Stllbreathnbuty
well said. unfortunately, one way to counter such a situation is to make the game require very little skill to get ahead. in a sense making it like farmville where amount of time played is more important than skill. an excellent model for casual mobile gamers but not for most of the trials faithfuls who've put in lots of hours and suffered through a lot of frustration to acquire the necessary skill.Originally Posted by mrjorts
i think one way to satisfy both parties is to include a pay-once-play-forever trials frontier version for any one who buys fusion. that way a long time trials fan can fully enjoy the mobile game without ultimately paying more for frontier than they paid for fusion.
Well, it's out there then. As long as they retain the true trials experience on consoles, they can do whatever the hell they want on other platforms, as far as I'm concerned. It's a supplement to the real thing. Mess with that though, and yeah, there will be problemsOriginally Posted by MrGiggles![]()
I have been asking for a Vita or 3Ds version of trials for years. This COULD have been the next best thing, a portable trials COULD be kickass. This, it just pisses me off, it saddens me that I will be missing out on a trials game.
Dude I wouldn't jump to conclusions until the game comes out. From what I've seen so far on Frontier, once you've chosen a track - you can keep on restarting and grinding it for as long as you like without having to pay for more gas. It's only when coming out of the level will it count as a gas having been spent and even that accumulates over time if it works like other casual games. I could be wrong though?Originally Posted by EuphoricFusion
I'm not going to give judgement until I get it into my hands and try it out for real. No point in getting all depressed yet! 'Nuff said!
Developer integrity becoming rarer and rarer these days. I am one less faithful Trials fan that will be buying Frontier. Despicable is an accurate word.
I understand that F2P is essentially required when releasing a mobile game, because somehow that is the way that platform developed. But it is still unfortunate for the "Trials Hardcore" (see: us) who would like to spend hours grinding in a day without the annoying interruptions of having to pay in between tracks. A one time payment would be nice.
Not really impressed.
All I can say, its going to be the best mobile game ever.
I would like there to be 2 versions of the game available
a free time limited version with maybe 30 min a day, then a paid for version which has unlimited play
[unless your free time stacks, unlike some, where you get a unit and the next recharge doesn't start until you spend that unit - the full paid for is the only one I would play]
has there been any hint on what the exact limitations of the game are - i'm already kinda half way between wanting it and not, because I know I need a new phone to even consider it [moron bought a windows phone, a long time ago, but still, moron is a moron]
Hmmm.... F2P seems to be the way the forward for the mobile market.
I would suggest changing changing frontier's F2P model however, instead of determining how long the player has playing all of the tracks through fuel, I would bundle tracks together for a fee which can then allow the player to play on untill their faces turn blue.![]()
