A new track would have eliminated this variable and made the qualifier more fair to everyone.

Also, call it moaning or lack of gratitude but, i'm voicing my opinion. Which in this case & subject isn't positive.
We all had a year and like two months to play the track and get familiar with it. If you didn't play it a lot through out that large span of time, then its pretty much your guy's fault.
That's true but a year ago nobody knew it would've been chosen for this. A new track would have been more appropriate for this kind of competition imo.
I do agree with you that a totally new track would be a lot better for a competition like this, because riders would have to learn a new track, find new timesavers, and etc.
Some PC players have had half that time. And even less from not experiencing trials HD until now

Imagine how some from the gold community feel, Knowing that It will be xbox and PC members combined in the final at paris.
Where in actual fact it's going to be xbox players representing the xbox, and xbox players representing the PC, wait what.

I'm the guy who analyzes and looks at things from all angles.

I support RL regardless, So lets just all smile like barry is trying to get across and be happy for the event.
Blaze, your really starting to be a broken record. Just stop.

Well when you make such an announcement and then leave the thread open for people
to comment on, you open yourself up for criticism as well as more positive reactions.

i cannot compete in the championship because im from the wrong country apparently.
Even though i am a top rider i would have a very tough time qualifying for the semi-finals.
(i say i would have had a shot or long shot on Wotn wich is next weeks track if im not mistaken)

My opinion is that when you are going to have a tournament and call it Trials World Championship
then it should be all multiplayer races on hardcore single player tracks, maybe even only extremes.
They take the most skill and like striide said above: everybody has had more then enough time to get good on them..
You can compare it to the olympics, you practise all year to get the best personal best you can
and then when the moment is there you have to perform it live, its do or die.

And i would have just let the top 25 or top 50 global qualify by default (disregarding multi-accounts obviously)
Tough luck for the few people out there that were too lazy or busy or showed no interest in the global Leaderboard in the past year.

Then, have multiple rounds of Online Multiplayer races followed by the Grand Finale in paris.

That would be a real Trials Evolution World Championship.

Just my opinion nothing more, and RedLynx are Awesome for doing any kind of tourney at all, let that be known.

I agree with theblazejp. I've been playing gold edition since day one release with all the fps ,networking, leaderboard save times issues and now anyone can just hop on from xbox, who have been playing for way longer, and take top 6 times just doesnt seem logical to me. I dont own an Xbox and have never played trials evo before Gold edition release so xbox players had 11 more months to play just ridiculous. Play Gold edition just to qualify for this tournament and then go back to playing on Xbox and never return to the PC... how can they represent Gold Edition if they are not a regular players on PC. IMO.

don't forget several 360 players have gone to pc when it came out so new players will always have a disadvantage
imo only the best should be able to qualify and if they want to buy gold for that, besides they still have to beat the 360 players so it doesn't really improve their odds

    Re: Global championship reply

Ok ok... we have already some thoughts from players :

A- It seems that everybody loves the idea of the 1st world championship - cheers for Redlynx/Ubisoft initiative !!!

B- Many people thinks that - in the way that championship was built is not fair (eligibility rules: ages - countries - platforms etc)

C- Trials Evo, where WC is based upon, is almost one year "older" on Xbox than in PC, so is very fair to understand that - most probably - there will be no single real PC player (people that had only Trials Evo PC experience) amongst real competitors.
Everybody in semi finals and finals will be:
    1) Xbox players
    2) Ex Xbox players

D- There are different points of view regarding who should compete with who:
    1) everybody should be free to compete in any platform he/she wants
    2) everybody should compete only in 1st platform he/she adopted
    3) everybody that started on a platform, but changed to a different one in "x" days/weeks/months ago, has the right to represent the 2nd platform

Most probably Redlynx friends will tell that - there is no way to change such points now cause rules are already established, ok ... but these points are very nice to elaborate for next WCs ... some of them I know are very tricky, different countries rules, how to understand if a player changed to another platform if he/she changed the nickname, for instance... anyway, the WC initiative it's a wonderful thing and we just can evolve understanding and correcting our flaws.

Hope the best for everybody involved, creators of WC and competitors !! Paris is wonderful and the winners will have a great time in their lives !!!
