Idea for a new Trials Fusion gameplay (free-roam) setting :

Just had a crazy idea for Fusion, which also supplements Tricks a lot:

Keep in mind this is an EXTRA thing, beside the things the game already has to offer. Drive Line tracks would NOT be replaced by this.

Built-in free roam/bike steering (right stick?). Why? Because this opens much potential:

-It would make curved (like real life supercross stadiums etc.) supercross tracks fair and competitive in its own way (not sure how to solve collision between bikers but maybe treat it like faulting).

-There could be Trick Parks and areas without a set driveline, it can open up many custom game modes you see in other skate/bmx/snowboard games (Total score/Biggest Combo/Object Tag/Trick challenges etc)

-3d like Trials tracks, with many multiple routes because of the steering element.

-With the Editor it could add a Huge chunk of content beside the features we already love from traditional Trials.

    - All in all it can supplement Supercross/Tricks/Skill Games in a very significant way of added content, and 3d Trials all depends on the tracks.

To keep leaderboard integrety, this isn't on standard Trials or supercross, only when specificly set, or in a special mode.

I say yes, but I bet you will get a lot of "trials purists" crying NO!

You can already do this on Evo, Jolan, Lord of Warrr and someone else did that, but it's not that easy.

    Anyway, opinion time:

    Yes,

It would take too much time away from primary development, so, no. But if they added it in a DLC, sure.

Sounds cool, but clearly deters from the core game, the mechanics may have to be changed a bit too.

No. It would detract from the main aspect and appeal of the trials franchise and doesnt offer any great aspect to the game or its depth. IMO.

i would love to see a dave mirra style game play addition in trials, as long as it was just an addition and sat in amongst the skill games or something. For me the skill games are just extras, a bit of fun and i play them only occasionally. If it was set like this i dont think it would detract from the initial game play of trials and would be a very nice addition to the game.

    i vote yes
