but if they beat you so easily then they clearly are ment to be in the competition and you don't regardless of the platform, its not like 1player has an unfair advandage over the other besides that on xbox it is way harder to get to the top

I'm speaking for the Gold community.
If people were to do that, buying the game to qualify and never returning,
In my opinion it tarnishes the PC community.
If people can't see what I'm saying and my reasoning behind saying it then it's their choice,
I'm not going to have a massive cross-platform debate.
Iv'e said what I wanted to say. I'm gunna leave it at that before this gets out of hand.

the you wasn't specificly for you , your post wasn't about giving yourself more chances to win or about you at all
but this contest isn't about the gold comunity its about finding the best trials player regardless of the platform, and if people think they can get qualified on gold more easily and are willing to invest the money in that i wouldn't mind and i don't see how that harms the gold community, if they are straight up better than you(not you ) and it isn't cheated then they should win in a perfect world

i have both and i prefer 360 because lb have more meaning there, but for this contest i would have tried pc because there i might have had a chance to qualify and maybe win(like that ice skater that won a gold medal on the olympics? but was terible) while on 360 that could never have happend

but i can't because i'm born in the wrong place

I don't see how that harms the gold community, if they are straight up better than you(not you ) and it isn't cheated then they should win in a perfect world

Say tom, bob and Harry go round a friends house who has a good Pc, Create a Uplay username, Play and once they are done never return to the Gold community.
That is how it affects it.
It's not about investing money, If they choose to do that they are welcome to there is nothing wrong with that.

lb have more meaning there

To be fair lb's only have more meaning globally, the game is still the same in essence, both platforms have the same tracks (Crash county), One can easily compare times achieved on the PC to what one has on the xbox by using various websites that list track times.

This is already getting into a cross-platform debate,
And it's not healthy for this thread so lets stop, or lock it.

I guess if it happens to be someone scores high on both platforms, they still cannot split themself in 2 ( and survive that ) so they just pick the next best.

I can't compete in it myself but still excited to see the outcome on this.

i find it hard to believe that all 200+ other governments of the world would consider this gambling.
After all it's only gambling when you put your own money into it. This is just a contest with prizes involved.

I know for a fact this would never be illegal in holland, or even considered gambling. (Btw gambling is allowed here so even if it was gambling, it still would be legal.)

It´s nice to not have any chance to be a winner, so we can discuss the championship completely unbiased

1- Completely agree Loekabazoeka words - I love redlynx, but to mention that "Due to the legal restrictions we can't have it open in every country of the world." it´s a very easy way to stabilish a championship rules to promote a product and not care about thousands of players. I think it should be much more fair if every player would be accepted and, in case, that any of the top 8 players would not be elegible, for any reason, ok, lets give to this player a possible prize and, if there is no other chance, his place to the following elegible one. Maybe all this turmoil is nothing, if the 8 top players have all the right demands, but if not, I think it´s good to understand their reality and to check if something is possible to be done.

2- Let´s think - I ask 2 people to train, for instance, eletric guitar. I tell them - I will make a contest to decide which one of you is the best one, and you have 24 hours to play and increase all your skills, but I give 1 year and 5 monthes for one contender and just 6 monthes to the 2nd one... really?!
Ok, lots will tell me, we are not talking about eletric guitars here man... we are talking about a video game contest!! Ok, this is real, but in this case, it is a video game that needs skills, lots of fast reflexes, huge time consuming training... and a player that is playing for 17 monthes have much more chances than a player that is doing it for 6, point. In my modest opinion, what is fair? To decide the best xbox player in the world, and the best PC player in the world in a parallel contest.

I don´t want to put fire in the house, I just want a more democratic and fair championship... by the way, the championship is a genious idea, I really love it!!!

If you think this comp seem sunfair then consider this......Redlynx are based in Finland and are offering Xbox One's as prizes, even though none of their Finland based employees can actually buy an Xbox One at launch. So for Instance, Cannibal Shogun will see "your" Xbox One prize but be unable to buy himself one. Now THAT'S unfair!

Some may see it as "abusing" the system, and I agree; but I also believe that it is a flawed system, and a PCs user should in no way be given the trip if they do not score high enough OVERALL. I don't like this PC vs. Xbox system, and it was very predictable that people were going to abuse it.

I say the top scoring players deserve the trip, regardless of the platform. If that means every person is from the Xbox, so be it. PC users do not deserve special privileges.
