My Xbox hard drive stopped spinning last month, a week ago it got not 3 but FOUR red rings and I'm currently using a friends' Xbox who's disc drive doesn't work. You've lost a track? I've lost just about everything - Trials, Halo, Farcry, hundreds of Banjo Kazooie vehicles, ~4 years worth. Everything I can't recover I simply remember the tricks I used for future builds. I keep everything important saved to flash sticks and as everyone else says, multiple copies. Some people even keep backups on the Cloud service.
The game freezes, loads the wrong worlds in multiplayer, the stupidest tracks are top rated.. But I keep playing because I love Dirt-bike games, I love coding and creating new ideas, and I have friends who will play my tracks and supply feedback. There aren't enough problems to make me quit, and I'd even start again from scratch. One track.. is nothing. A few losers.. are nothing. Play because you love the game.
