Finalists check your emails, all the details have now been outlined.
Hi Guys,
We understand if you are unhappy about not being able to compete because you do not meet one of the requirements of this competition. We are of course listening to player’s concerns and taking them into consideration for future competitions, however these are the rules for this current competition. They are a combination of what we wanted, what the legal team would allow and what was possible in the time frame we had available. We know that certain aspects are not ideal. Many of the criticisms brought up by players are in fact things that we wanted or considered but could not get for legal or time reasons. Ultimately these rules have been online for anybody to review since the competition was announced and they cannot be changed at this point.
One point to note:
If you do not like something or have criticisms you are welcome to voice them on these forums however if you get an e-mail directly from RedLynx concerning the competition that states:
and you post that information online anyway, you can expect to be disqualified from the competition and possibly from future comps as well. Again we understand if you are upset but disregarding the rules of the competition is not a constructive way to express your feelings. You have multiple ways of contacting us directly if you have concerns regarding confidential information. The contents of this mail are confidential. Please do not share or distribute information in this mail without consent from RedLynx/Ubisoft.
I would also like to remind everyone about a few items in the general and fairplay rules of the competition. Again these have been available for all to read online since the competition was announced:
These two rules are in effect at all times during the competition period, they are not restricted to just during gameplay. Breaking either of these rules on the forums is still considered breaking the rules of the tournament.Originally Posted by Appendix 1 : General and Fair Play Rules
Finally I would just like to make one personal note. In this message the word “disqualify” has come up a few times. To us disqualification is something we would not like to do to any players, I personally see it as a last resort that should be avoided if possible. However ultimately it is up to you, the players. If you cannot respect the competition the reasonable outcome is that you not be allowed to participate in it. This is a learning experience for all involved and if we treat it that way it could go a long way to improving future comps which we hope to make a regular event. As always we welcome criticism but please make it constructive. Lashing out in anger or disregarding the rules does not help us make improvements nearly as much a clear response detailing your concerns. And again, if your criticism involves information that has been deemed confidential please deliver it in a private message or e-mail, not the public forums.Originally Posted by Appendix 1 : General and Fair Play Rules

I've been following TWC since it was announced, because I think it's a really cool idea, and it's the first tournament I've seen organized for Trials. I didn't manage to qualify, but I am still trying to keep tabs on it. Unfortunately this is proving pretty challenging with regards to the semi-finals. Hopefully someone can answer a couple questions to keep a fan in the loop
Is there a list of who all qualified for the semi-finals?
When will the semis be held?
Will the semis be streamed? (Plz plz plz plz)
Would love to be able to follow this tournament through. Thanks in advance.
The semi finals will start tomorrow morning (the 9th of October) and will be taken place at different time and days for the next few days-week possibly.Originally Posted by Chaeron
I don't know, but I'm sure that a few people will record it if Redlynx don't.

I would like to say congrats to all that have made the semis,
And goodluck to everyone
It would be nice to see the semis on live stream,
Though I don't think it will happen
Grand finals for sure will be
Hey guys,
We will not be streaming the semis ourselves. We have to purposely stay behind so as not to disrupt the competition, because of this it's not too interesting to view from our end. If anybody else wants to stream their rounds or record them to upload later you are welcome to do so.

I am thinking about doing it when the time comes.Originally Posted by CannibalShogun
The problem is the streaming software I use doesn't like the Uplay interface.
Basically for some unknown reason to me I only have a "decline" option when responding to game invites, Always been like that though
The uplay In-game overlay doesn't appear when streaming.
So in all honesty for me It's probably a bad idea to consider it.
Regardless
I may record and upload at a later date and its nice to know we have permission to do this,
Thanks for letting us know shogun
