This was posted in another forum and thought I'd share the love.
The game appears to be a Dark Souls / Diablo / Assassin's Creed hybrid and features randomly generated levels and enemies. When I say randomly generated enemies, I am not just talking about enemy placement...have a look at the video.
The game is PS4 exclusive and being published by Capcom.
Looks somewhat interesting but randomly generated level design will most likely kill it for me. 100% fine hand-crafted design is how it's done.

Looks interesting. Not really a fan of Capcom though. They tend to not have good controls in their games.
Best way to sum up this game! Day one buy for me unless they some how screw it up.Originally Posted by buttcheekofdeth

i hope not, didn't get the game because i don't like the progression systemOriginally Posted by buttcheekofdeth
i prefer stuff like binding of isaac or ftl where the game plays you and tactics, strategy or skill gets you further in the game
rogue legacy didn't seem to have that, skill only helped progressing/grinding you further faster
not that it seemed like a bad game and i'm sure i could have had a good few hours of fun out of it
So, Capcom makes a Xbox One exclusive "Dead Rising 3" and a PS4 exclusive "Deep Down". Fair enough, but for me personally both games seems un-special, I mean Dead Rising games are more orientated by killing zombies constantly while Deep down has random generated stuff, which is not proper for a game. Many of the new games (i.e. Ryse, DR3, FIFA14, Killzone, Deep Down) is in my aspect a simple rip-off, because they don't look that unique, and are pushed in front while some others are much more stylized.
Indeed, a bit mindless cos they hardly fight back. You're only in trouble if you jump right in the middle of them all but even then you can escape. They are just fodder.Originally Posted by Blastergamer
Random number generation has it's place, it's a neccessity for some mechanics or effects, it only really sucks when it's randomly generated level design.while Deep down has random generated stuff, which is not proper for a game.
For example, if anything is based on % it always involves RNG.
