Frankly, other than the location of the first CP, the general rule of thumb should be "you cant have too many CP's". So if in doubt, put in a CP. Once you're past the "reset point" and place the first cp, any others are for weak riders, so make it as easy as you can for them. Dont rely on massively spaced out CP's to make a track harder. Thats my two cents anyway.
yeah, that is another one. I see this used in few extremes but this is definitely seen a lot in ninja tracks, a lot of people space checkpoints waaaay too far apart in ninja's to make it a harder track(normally to increase the level of ninja) which isn't the right way.
