Even tho i tried to use it, and epicly failed.

I just try and position it with the analogue sticks, sometimes i rage quit the editor cos of this.

Thats because nobody truly explains the best easy steps on using snap.
All theses guys snap objects individually which is the most tedious thing and takes forever.
Yes i know the easiest way, hit me on XBL GT: xDEAD EXITx.
    Glad to help.

Re: Supercross lanes - exact object positioning

It just seems to be moving exactly the same as without using the snap tool, where it can go slightly forwards and backwards and not aligned properly (once again with me in charge of it).
Just to make sure on the planes x,y and z, do I press mark them with the 'X' in the check box or leave the check box empty?
Why does everything on the editor have to be such a challenge.

XYZ , do not put in an X.. then, place an object near to the centre of the fisrt lane/line, and press your right stick down once...
Do the same for each lane..
What this does, is it snaps the object/ramp, or whatever your using as an obstacle, and it centres it to the lane/line you so desire...

Re: Supercross lanes - exact object positioning

Im gonna have to do it the slow way and just try to line them up correctly using another object as a measruing tool, thanks for your help, Ive done what you have outlined but it doesnt make any difference for me when I try this with my editor skills.

I can snap to each lane, but still have to move it slightly to the left until i snap it to the next lane for it to be on the driving line, but its the slight movement before i can snap it thats the problem.

I feel your pain & Alexela.
Snap tool is not very friendly at first, which is why i had to figure out a way around it.
Its excellent for straight objects, but thats about it.
Your last sx track was nice so keep doing what you do.
    Goodluck guys!

haven't tried this myself but you could try to glue your drivelineobjects together
then go to the snapping menu
pick the snapplane in object option and select your gluegroup(might need to use r1 and hold while hovering over 1 of the gluegroups object till the whole thing starts glowing)

make sure x,y,z is selected and not dl
now copy and move and snap and done

repeat with several gluegroups if required

    you can unglue it afterwards

    This!!!
Just have the glue pivot where you can select it. Make sure your snap plane is the pivot. If you want to convert a a trials track to SX, using this method will take minutes!
