I'm trying to stay away from primes and I have seen several snow tracks that look absolutely amazing. I have no clue how to pull this effect off. I have tried camera filters, but it still leaves the ground a bit to colorful. I'm 99.9% sure I have to be over thinking aswell as over looking something minor that totally kills my snow skills lol any tips or help would be very greatly appreciated![]()
Cold filter and exposure are where it all starts... then you have to battle the blue tinge which is trial and error...
I too am building a snowy track and I too am battling the blue... and failing.
Also sand as a terrain texture helps...
I fiddle with the suns angle, put intensity to 100, change the colour a bit, camera exposure a bit higher too, a tint of blue colour filter, and use sand 5 as snowy surface.
this plus you can also place 1 or 2 bright pointlights along the ground in areas that dont quite look snowy enough but be carefull on the driving line cos you dont want to light up the rider and look unnaturalOriginally Posted by LitTlExJeZuZ![]()
i also added some camera colour filter affect on a snow track i did, to compensate the blue look..check some of the guys tracks out dude, and which ever one you prefer, then ask them for the exact settings..This is what i would do mate...
I made one last month, This is what I did
Track was called Hypothermic
Don't know if it will help but:
Impulse interval 20 (0.333 seconds).
OPE position linked to the camera point in front of rider X Y Z
3 Floating dusts variation 4 with physics enabled
Sand 5 texture with fairly bright light
And use the cold filter
Blaze
Make sure to set the camera to "Show visualisation always" before sharing so you see the snow in your screenshot.![]()
