I'm not sure if I'll get a next-gen console at this point and if I did, I would wait a little bit.

With different controllers across all the platforms, including the world of options on the pc, having integrated leaderboards, would be a really bad idea, it would basically kill the leaderboards from the get go.

Yup, the leaderboards would be killed, and the worst part is that people would hack it from PC and also influencing the console LB experiences, and console times 20% faster than PC keyboard times. The only thing for a must-have in trials fusion is integrated Track Central, others I don't care.

Pc Keyboard times? You still use an xbox controller on PC, or any gamepad.

Console times are faster then PC time because the gold community has only been around for a fraction of the time. PC never had Trials HD also. Things will balance out over time, Though it will take alot of time but it will happen, Thats only my opinion. New players will come through from the PC side eventually that will be able to contend for Wrs.

If track central is integrated, Thats cross platform. Leaderboards then should be too.

On the topic of "hacking" concerns.
This will be a new game, A new trials, All platform versions are being released at the same time.
Why should 1 platform benefit, While the other suffers.

Why should it be fair that track central is Integrated but Leaderboards are not.
Cheating has been evident on both Xbox and PC. Regardless of how severe in comparison.
I don't think that should be overlooked for sheer convenience in general.

Like I said before regardless of severity it's been present on both platforms so shouldn't be overlooked for sheer convience of one platform.
The game is being released simultaneously on all platforms, The quality of user experience should be the same on all Platforms. Its the same game.
