How can he get a perma ban from just that?! Surely he already had a warning. I modded my gamer score and avatar on mine like 4 years ago and my penalty was a warning with gamer score and avatar reset and I couldn't earn achievements for a month and I can't earn the achievements back that were reset.

It gave me no warning at all. Microsoft is a hard-***, so i'm not getting the xbox one.

you'd think with the new console coming up and a lot of people talking about switching to playstation that microsoft would stop being d#"/s to their existing customers and try to hold on to them. ......... bye bye microsoft... hello playstation

The bottom line is that its against the tos to use the hacking/modding tools which were used. How they were used is irrelevant, it shows that the tools are possessed and he knows how to use them. Hence he was banned.
MS assume that someone willing to break the tos for a hair colour will break them whenever they feel they have a good reason for it. Like to increase their GS, use an autoaim bot, hack leaderboards, etc. It may be a hardline approach to it, but its part of their strategy to elimante hackers from xbl and maintain strict security and fairness of play in mp.

Hell, I'm getting a PS4, but I still agree with the actions MS have taken. Sorry Keenan, its not personal. I just think the rules are there for all to see and if you break them you know the risk you are taking. You broke them, you got caught, you got punished. Seems fair enough to me.

yes its fair but a bit pedantic, petty and anal if you ask me, some of the crap people get banned for is ridiculous tho and i just think MS needs to spend as much time on their fans wants and needs as they do on watching their fans actions and behavior

There's something like 10million xbl accounts? I'm guessing they cant analyse each case individually. But I dont know, I'm just guessing tbh!
