Few questions about deleting & redowloading the game. | Forums

Not sure if this is the right section but anyway,

What happens if i delete the game?
Will i lose all my medals?
Will the in game money and rider gear be lost?
Will my playtime/statistics such as distance driven etc. be wiped out?
Will my saved tracks be wiped aswell?

It might sound stupid but I'm asking this because i wanted to get some of the $1.000.000 rider gear and i have less than 50k atm so grinding a bit isn't an option. I'd have to play the wreck over 1100 times
It would be much more possible if i was to get all the platinum medals again as they pay a lot more.
So if someone that has already deleted the game could reply it would be much appreciated.

Progress and earnings as in leaderboard scores (obviously) and what else? I thought medals were saved locally but i guess not then...

There's no separate save file for Trials. Everything but custom tracks/favorited editor pieces are tied to your GT.

Whenever I deleted the game and reinstalled it I didn't lose any times or medals but I lost ALL my downloaded custom tracks and all the tracks that I had saved in the editor.

So....

No, it wont. I've deleted the game twice, and neither time deleted my custom tracks. You must have done something funky. Did you perhaps press Y on the game folder and group delete rather than press A to go into the folder to delete individual files?

Just deleted the game for a test. Still have my tracks.

Yeah I think you're right....whenever I hit the 1000 track limit I didn't want to go through and delete track by track to make space because we all know how freakin annoying that process is in this game.

I must have went into the folder and deleted everything like you said. It was around the same time I reinstalled the game so I thought that may have caused it. Thanks for clearing it up

if you want to be double careful, transfer anything you want to save,ie, your custom tracks, then do it by using a pen drive.Its always handy to save any tracks that other builders have done to a pen drive too..it saves re searching them, and it allows you to collect all your fav tracks up too...i did this with HD, and have over 1000 custom tracks saved from that game..

im on my 4th time round, and not had problems..

Sometimes, seemingly useless knowledge comes in handy

Maybe DL all customs to a different device so you can group delete without deleting the game or your own tracks.
