@Euan: I think you misunderstood the purpose of that .gif. It's purpose is to poke fun, not complain.

My first post in this thread was complaining though

That GIF is awesome, cracks me up everytime I see it. Glad to see funny stuff like this. Everyone is making good points about each of these new next gen. systems and you can kinda tell who is siding w/ who, so it practically impossible to persuade people that have their minds made up already. So I don't want to judge either sides of this as my plans are to get a PS4 any which way this whole thing pans out to be. Just because for my own pursuit of happiness, the PS4 has more of what I looking for. I have only been gaming for a year so I don't have a valid opinion about consoles especially since I only have a 360, but I've had a terriable horrable rotten time w/ the thing. I've stuck way too much $ in the thing for just maintaining it. I had to get three new fans, three new conrollers, gold subscription, microsoft points, and on my third chat headset. Microsoft has been milking the crap out me and I for one am fed up with it. I also am having a hard time finding a game that I enjoy, other than TRIALS. I don't like many of the stuff w/ Xbox so I feel like I don't matter anyhow.

The Xbox design developers spend 1 million dollar just to make a controller design!

Using a microUSB to change a wireless controller to a wired controller is BAD ***. No longer will I need 2 controllers for couch and PC gaming!

I, for one, am actually looking forward to Kinect 2. I'm hoping that this time it actually changes SOMETHING about how we play games. The lag in Kinect 1 was the biggest detriment to it.

I don't think that people saying "I don't want to move around, that's why I play games" is much of an argument, as it is obviously not being marketed to you. It's being marketed towards the millions of people who bought hundreds of dollars worth of Wii peripherals, and have no idea that Wii and WiiU are different consoles. I do not blame any game console for bloody noses, broken TV screens, or anything else that comes from not being aware of your surroundings. If you threw your Wiimote through a TV, then that really comes down to being your fault.

I understand that the physical activity inherent in peripherals like Kinect are a turn off to some "core gamers", but you can always use it as a tool as well. I know many people who use Kinect 1 as part of a fitness program, and it works. I still hope that Kinect 2 comes with each and every Xbox, maybe then more developers will work on titles that actually take advantage of the system instead of tacking on a few needless motion based actions that nobody really ends up using.

    Good post.

As I said before, somebody needs to support these gimmicks so when the tech finally advances into something better then I can have fun

The Kinect being mandatory? No, just no.

The primary reason I do not like the kinect as is? Simplistic, casual games or integrated gimmicks is all it does well at this point in time.

...and I do not want to have to move around when I game When the tech has advanced significantly and the design of games made for it suits my tastes you can bet your *** (or my lazy ***) that I will be running and jumping and maybe even socializing with virtual entities vocally. For now though....lol, no.
