Why do you think the headset is ****ty? Is that just because you don't like Xbox One? Actually, PS4 has a much cheaper one, and it's an EARPIECE instead a headphone, and it will get greasy from people's ear flax and the mic won't be stable because it it attached on the cable and it will wobble when your head is moved.
Nothing to do with whether I like it or not, it's an el cheapo last minute addition - just calling it as it is. They aren't including a premium headset in the box, you buy that separately if you want one. I have a $3 Chinese headset for 360 that has all the same functions and looks good too, that doesn't make it good.

The last Microsoft console to include quality accessories was the original Xbox - build quality and materials were so much better. Everything with the 360 was made using lesser materials - the cables, ear pieces etc all were lesser quality and it was done to make it profitable.

The pack in Ps4 ear piece / headset may well be crap, but that doesn't make XboxOne's good. And as far as ear wax goes...I clean my ears, what ear wax problems?

It's nothing to do with the quality of the online services. The problem is when the machine is being pushed as a set top box for the mass market and to access non gaming functions you need to subscribe to live gold. It's pure stupidity.

So basicly the Xbox only allows 90% of it's features to be accessed through gold, yea that is stupidity.

Yup. It wont be an issue for gamers as they are likely to be gold subscribers anyway, but not a good move when they're trying to capture the non-gaming audience. They'd be better off taking pointers from Somy and I wouldn't be surprised to see them doing a 180 on this also at some point.

I'll still be waiting for next year (probably) until i get one of these, i would prefer to hear the reviews and people views, see which is better, besides GTA V is calling for me.

Oh? I thought they will just be sitting on your shelf?

Still haven't played true quality such as System Shock 2 I bet. At least it's in your hard drive though where it cannot get coated in dust

    Can't wait!

Another thing... I honestly don't see people's problem with kinect. It may seem as if it intrudes upon your own privacy with the so called "rumours" that have been floating about but it is really not that much of a big deal for me; it's actually an exciting piece of technology

If that was the case with non gamers then why buy a GAMES console to begin with and not just a TV box or something?

In my eyes all of this addition content is... Addition content appart from gaming and nothing else.

My mind hasnt changed from before the announcements were made. Sony is the way forward...xbox can stay boxed and on the shelf. Microsoft have taken the piss for far too long.

M$ are the one's saying they want to grow the market. The reason is that the games industry is following an unsustainable business model. They can't keep investing the level of money they are each generation without growing the market. Even with them turning over profits over the last x years, they are yet to recoup their investment costs over the last decade.

The stupidity is not giving the incentive for non-typical-gamers to puchase the system. The market cannot grow without them appealing to more than just the people who have been buying the hardware already. It seems they are doing everything possible to not do this...the XBone team are seriously a bunch of clowns, a monkey could do a better job pushing their product than them.

Anyway fellas, I didn't mean to stir up a hornets nest with this. Merely made a comment on the quality of the pack-in headset, which I stand by...oh and of course the silly features behind the paywall.
