Trials changed my player name to my business name... how?

So I was playing the Steam edition of Trials Evolution Gold tonight, and it looked like the game was struggling to connect to the uPlay servers.
That's fine, whatever, I'll keep playing.
However, I notice after a few more rounds that for some reason my player name, which used to be "inquisitorsz" has now changed "mybusinessname" won't post the actual business name here). I have no idea why the game did this, or where it would have gotten my business name from. I find that the strangest part. It's not in my uPlay or Steam accounts anywhere. It doesn't share the same email addresses or anything like that.

Now on some of the high scores there are two different names...

How on earth did the game know my company name? And how do I change it back? my uPlay name is still inquisitorsz and has never changed....

You are no longer worthy of the Inquisition and have been expelled from the order.

Probably bc you are playing in offline mode. TC is down so I'm guessing there is something wrong with loading everything.

Re: Trials changed my player name to my business name... how

There are some issues with the game or uplay at the moment some sort of "offline" mode, so it seems to use your local system name and not actually save anything like times online as the connection to leaderboards isn't available, it shows my PC name instead of my gamertag as well cause the game seems to have no access to online services , despite uplay chat working.

I Recommend not playing any single player as the progress isn't likely to be saved to the leaderboards/global rankings.

You might get medals but still I wouldn't play, as you risk having to do it all over again and get a better/harder time to update a time to show it "online" back when it works properly again.

Same goes for editing tracks, they save differently offline and when the game is back online you can't load those directly.

Yes it's possible I got expelled from the Inquisition.... Bloody ordos have no respect for us radicals.

But seriously, I figured out what happened. It must be the whole offline bug thing going on, but only just now did I realise that my latop's PC name is my business name.. so when it lost connection to uPlay it must have defaulted to the computer name.

Not nearly as sinister as I first thought.
