I like both realistic and futuristic themes as long as it stands out, you can achieve endless amounts of looks combining Camera Filter+Fog+Blur+Sun/Moon/Ambient+Different colors for each of those.
I feel tracks need to feel like they are actually in a certain setting, which means ideally there's a complete background or foreground, that doesn't look anything like the baseworld's default (mainly speaking for Crash County as I design on Evo Gold)
Sounds can add even more atmosphere, as well as proper use of effects/lights.
As far as Fusion, I like the idea of futuristic objects in a natural envoronment, the white objects+blue glass style really looks great on the green forest art, but of course I'd like to see some more industrial and natural objects like metal/wood/logs/cliffs to make historic tracks as well if possible. Variation keeps building and playing tracks interesting. Beside of course individual track quality and drivelines on their own.
If you want realism, macaroni people are a must! No wait, is that right?
If you want realism make sure you have a giant dude on a leash throwing a monolith at you!
A dog with a human's head always adds to the realism as well.
Trust me, up to 30% of my tracks are realistic!
I prefer a track with no physics.
My favorite themes are the ones where I watch it and think "DAMMIT! why didnt I think of that?"
that's also what I always think when I see very atmospheric tracks in TC or in YouTube.Originally Posted by jook13
