you mean oXCubXo's paperboy track? Yes, it became a RL pick.Originally Posted by Jolan

I'm just gonna put all my music into one skill game. I don't think the music is easily recognizable anyway.
Mutetus recreated pacman, music and all and that was featured. He got around it by naming it something different than pacman. I imagine you would be just fine, its not like you are recording it or ripping it. People cover songs all the time on youtube with no issues...
i think it may depend on the company that might own the rights to the origin of game/music etc...if they see it as good publicity, then they wouldnt mark it as copyright, but other companies/owners are just plain arseholes when it comes to this subject..I would imagine that R.L. would have to back up there reasons with a **** load of paperwork too if they allow certain things. Its not a good business decision to allow something that COULD have negative outcomes..The last thing R.L. would want at this stage in their growth, is any BAD marks next to their name..Just common business sense if you think about it.Youtube isnt a good example in my opinion too, as their decisions over music are of the scale and sooooo random....
hope i made sense here....![]()

ya cause people will never pay for an ancient videogame if they can just pay for a new videogame with some DLC and then download a stolen, copyrighted demo made in a level editor using planks, beams and 1-color polygons.
We aren't selling these tracks or even stating that we developed them (not that there is room to type all that). Sure there's Intellectual Property but for this medium I think the owner would get the most negative attention just for being a ****. That's like if they tried to sue Mojang again but for all the adventure and artsy builds done in Minecraft. Some of those people even use Adf.ly to get money off of the downloads.

Songs may have copyright, but guitar riffs themselves don't as far as I know. And that's what I'm really using. You can even find songs with very similar guitar parts. The riff in Tush by ZZ Top has been used in completely different songs by a couple other bands.
just go for it dude..im sure youll be fine...![]()
Dude, if your creating a mix of songs then that just makes you a Dj. & as us Dj`s know, we can play any song however and wherever we want because its our mix!
Give it a name & its your music mix.
Hope this makes sense!![]()
