Re: db VOLTRON db - THRESHOLD

It might be a common theme, but the details and architecture make it stand miles out from the rest. Quality tech line as well, although, it's definitely an extreme.
Hopefully we'll see one or two more tracks from you guys before Fusion hits.

Re: db VOLTRON db - THRESHOLD

Played it last night a bit and...

I expected a hard technical track but, obviously its an extreme track!!

There are lots of sweet custom objects but all they should be unique, or at least that´s what I was expecting to see... Im a bit disapointed about some of the custom machines that are copied from some of your SOLO tracks... How old is that track? maybe that is the reason of copying some machines...

On a few spots the custom cameras dont works properly, only works fine when you hit that section on the proper way...

Is a great track but I expected an unique track in all aspects!! sadly that was not the case...

Looking forward to the next Voltron track!!

    Peace and love!!

To me it felt like a proper Hard track.

Yep, although I'm not tellin' how, lol!
In the past when exploits were discovered in the editor and became common knowledge, patches were created to prevent them - also if you apply your logic to trials as a whole, I'll take a squirrel please.
So, katamari couldn't talk about a specific feature in a game that he was working on 8 months prior to it's release, and that is somehow the same situation as someone working in the editor of a title that has been on the market for 1 1/2 years? I really do not see the correlation.

The editor exploits that were removed were causing other unintended issues as well, like consoles freezing as soon as the finish line is reached.

Also, the squirrel is not a process, there's no knowledge to be gained from the use of a single object that has no properties other than to be an object. It's not the same as a process of using certain events or data sources to make something happen.

the exploits that were removed could have been implemented from the beginning, the game could clearly process color changing for every piece - instead of just fixing the freezing or allowing it from the start without exploits - the (or should i say one of the) color glitch was removed - Wouldn't allowing all the pieces to be colored make track central a better place? - how about scaling pieces? - if triggers, fail areas and custom collisions can do it why not visible pieces?

anyway the exploits that were discovered got removed, the ones that didn't get discovered stayed - I'd prefer if everyone could do it from the get go but i'm not about to tell everyone and have it get removed like the last set of exploits

The squirrel may not be a process but it is something that according to your argument would make track central a better place - if everyone can have access to all the same tools/pieces

Four guys working hard for a year to give a track away doesn't count?

This isn't an argument, this is a discussion about the spirit of the community.

While it is great that you guys decided to work together on a track, and the track is good, it is one track. That one track shouldn't mean any more to anyone community-wise than does any of the other 600,000+ creations that have been uploaded.

Is it better than some tracks? Most certainly, but the fact that you guys do have the talent and would rather keep that knowledge to yourself is, to me, a bit of a selfish decision.

I don't think I am in the minority when I say that I would rather the forums were a source of information and not people coveting what they find instead of continuing to innovate. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice track, but there are quite a few nice tracks on Track Central, and ALL of them are being given away.

most tracks don't generate this much community communication - and in fact there are entire threads full of community spirit generated solely because of things hidden in the game that have yet to be known by all - I'd say that there are several communities that are a result of these unknown game things.
