Re: db VOLTRON db - THRESHOLD

Hey fellas, sick detail some really nice touches but I have to say that Im really dissapointed. I was expecting to be blown away with four of the best creators coming together but didnt happen for me unforts. I love a tech line but didnt find that I wanted to play it over and over again, just found it really annoying. By all the positive feedback it looks like its just me whos having a whinge but I think im just bored ****less of the futuristic spacey warehouse tracks. Anyway Im sure it will be top of the feeds regardless, just not my cup of tea.

in order to make the stuff look "painstakingly crafted" the areas you would be able to bail to would look painfully crapped-in.

boris, you're not the only one who didn't like the line - I suppose if you're looking for an obvious flow and are only interested in playing a track for a few mins than can find plenty of tracks like that on TC - I personally prefer playing a track for a long time and I enjoy the challenge of a tech flow - as for the futuristic spacey warehouse track theme boredom - there's only so many pieces - and many of the ones provided tend to favor that industrialized look - anyway you've made some sick designs in that style with not so obvious tech flow: speed wobble, gemini, organ grinder, etc.

Is there really harm in sharing what you have learned in the editor? It's obviously up to you/Voltron whether or not you want to share, but it just seems to be a bit of the opposite of the kind of information sharing that should be encouraged in the community.

I mean, you can keep your secrets and keep those little touches reserved for your tracks, or you could share with the community and help increase the quality of tracks that appear on Track Central. I would share the information and help others, but that's just me, and to each his own.

You can change the color of the electrical box (and most other objects) through the use of vectors. Clutchmystaflex can explain it in depth if you send him a PM. Suck it Murdoc.

As for the track: Deco is nice. Line is decent/kind of awkward.

Yep, although I'm not tellin' how, lol!
In the past when exploits were discovered in the editor and became common knowledge, patches were created to prevent them - also if you apply your logic to trials as a whole, I'll take a squirrel please. or why not share the trials source code with your competitors?

off topic but, There is no color option whatsoever for that particular object. You need some sort of exploit ( that i don't know) to link the vector to the object. I know how that vector stuff works cause i used it in some of my tracks to exceed the editor limit on the objects color. I.e.: making steel pipes completely white as if they were spray painted.

Also, i think i figured out how you did that thing, i haven't tested it yet but i'll see.

Those tracks were all several years ago dude. Look ya know me in a fussy, obnoxious c#nt, I've probably played a thousand tracks on tc so far and I've given four tracks five stars so far; one mans thrash, hot to trot, power plant and beer goggles.(5 star execution when I pass it).
I logged on this morning and seen the thread with the 4 of you after making a track and I was so excited and flicked the Xbox on straight away. I just felt with the power of the editor and all your skills combined that the track didn't have the wow factor that it should have had, but look I as I said I'm a gob****e and will more than likely play it again and enjoy it more.

This track is really impressive! i do love it. the creativity in this track is crazy. there are tonnes of things to look at that will probably be missed if you only play it a couple of times, there is so much going on. The tv in that spot didn't make much sense (where is the seating area to look at the tv) lol. The track is probably extreme rather than hard. The amount of effort that has gone in to this though!! so many unique things! stunning track.

did you have lag issues while making it?
