It seems i have no way of scoring the points again past making a new name and starting over again which is not acceptable

If you go through and beat all your previous times does it not start counting again?

some people clearly are cheating but consider that for some reason the game isn't reporting things correctly. It may be staggering to you but not everyone cares so much about being at the top of a game leaderboard that they need to cheat to get there.

Lets be fair, its not about the integrity of the leaderboard, its about you wanting to be no1

Anyway, all i want is my score properly reflecting my achievements in the game. I tell you I played one damn track for about 12 hours to get a platinum, i think i wore my keyboard out.

Now because of no fault of my own that it was an incorrect score its been "fixed" leaving me with a bit of a sour taste

There was an error last week when doing some leaderboard admin. A handful of players who were flagged for recalculation got lumped in with players who were flagged for cheating so they had their global score erased instead of recalculated. This was my error and I appologize to anybody who was affected. Today I ran a recalculation on all the players who were accidentally cleared. Since only the global score was cleared and all individual tracks were not affected the global score should now properly reflect your score. Skellionz79, I personally looked for your name and saw that it was restored to 536th place with a global score of 26,104,056.

Cheating has become a very big issue with Evo Gold and it's been difficult to stay on top of it. I am doing my best to remove cheated scores and recalculate faulty scores in what little time I have to commit to this. Fortuantely we should be getting some new admin tools that will better help us deal with the issue of cheating. Of course we can always use your help by reporting any suspicious scores you see but please keep in mind that we may not be able to get to it right away. And if you do lose a score that was not cheated please let us know. It is not our goal to remove legit scores unless absolutely necessary to fix a bigger problem.

Thats very much appreciated cannibal, I'm sure most just want things to reflect the time and effort they have put in. Cheating is a problem in every game really, personally i could never be happy to do something i didn't achieve myself and it would never feel right.

Thanks again for sorting out the score, i better do some of these horrific tournys to bump it up

Ask anyone in the gold community who knows me from chatting to me in mumble or watching my streams. I'm not arrogant at all.
Being arrogant would be flaunting about a leaderboard status at every chance possible, I never do this and never will.
By playing and streaming this game and being at the top, I hope that it inspires newcomers to the game to achieve personal heights with trials.

It has nothing to do with me "wanting" to be #1. Naturally it is frustrating when people cheat. But Like canniball has said It has been hard for them to keep on top of the cheating, And that is understandable.
I care a lot about the PC community, I am always helping others out giving advice on techniques, advertising the game to people who have yet to buy it, Telling them why it's
a great game, and what they can expect out of it by buying it. I want to see the PC community flourish and grow just as much as redlynx themselves do.
Don't come on here and jump to conclusions, Insult me and make me seem something I am not. You have no idea who I am, or how much the community means to me.

I don´t know if you already fix it, but there was a player around 85th position, with more than 33 million points, and only tree trophies (silver ones if Im not wrong) and 7 minutes of total gameplay...

It´s not a rule, but I pay attention to number and quality of trophies... it get´s very strange when you find players on top with 3 or 4 silver/gold trophies, where there are mostly competitors with 5 platinum trophies...

The problem on XBLA is bigger than simple recalculation. If that was the only problem we would have sorted it ages ago but as you know on XBLA recalculation caused the problem with your score to get worse not better. As we stated before we are working on that issue but it is taking time to find the cause of the problem.
