Demo worked well (after patching) - Full game runs terribly | Forums

Hey RedLynx,

Just bought the full version of Trials: Evolution this morning. I would happily have bought it full price, but thank god for the Demo (back in the day) which game me a peek into how the game performed on my machine. Pretty damn terrible to say the least.

Anyway, I later read that there'd been some significant work done recently, so I tried the Demo and after tuning down some settings things ran great. I'm still surprised I need to turn down anything at all given that my laptop is quite a beast. But, a slightly bad looking version of Trials is better than none at all.

So here we are today, I buy the game and it runs absolutely horrible. Literally crawls at a frame rate of maybe 5-10. Much much worse than the demo. What can I do? Is the SLi profile only working for the Demo version? Wouldn't really make any sense to me.

I would attach my dxdiag, but apparently the ******* annoying bot is keeping me from trying to be helpful.

Ok, by fiddling around with a lot of settings, I found out how to make the game run better... But doing this every time before I play the game is insane. I've read posts from the Devs mentioning they'd love to improve things... Does this give any clue to anything?

Here's the approach I currently use:

Using the Nvidia Control panel I set the SLi Rendering mode to 'Force Alternate Frame Rendering 2'... I think... Or perhaps it's 1. It's the setting that makes the game crash eventually.

Having done that, I leave the SLi Indicator on, return SLi Rendering Mode to the 'Nvidia Recommended' settings, hit apply, restart the game and it runs like a dream...

What... The... ????... Seriously...

some have the same problem, you Might leave the exact things that you did?, because others don´t have the patience to try stuff. also this is the incorrect sub-forum.

As the subject of the topic says , I want Cards , please look in to this Redlynx it would be so awesome
And Trials Fusion should definitely have this from the start
What do you guys think , the ones with steam ? Hope I get a response from the staff aswell
Btw almost forgot I made post in Steam Discussion , maybe I get some answers there , I really want this :
Track Creator Badge , Only Trials Maniac Badge stuff like that , bike cards , outfit cards ... and more I hope
True Fan Badge for 100% Complete would be perfect
Trials its part of redlynx, redlynx its part of Ubisoft, Ubisoft has Uplay, Uplay Does not like Steam, unless to buy the game, and use Uplay features. I Don´t think they gonna use tools of steam like SteamWorks,Steam Workshop or the Steam trading card, because of Uplay, Everyone hates Uplay, I hate Uplay.

shenblack - I detailed every step, apart from one I was a little vague on. If people don't have the patience to try 2 different steps, then they don't get to use the fix I suppose. Thanks for hinting about forum.
