The biggest and most important thing that needs addressed is searching for, and finding, high quality creations.
There will always be not-so-great tracks, and what people like will always be subjective. What one person views as a "lesser track" might possibly be one of the most fun things that another person has played. Getting the content that YOU want to play into YOUR hands is the challenge.
If the whole point in creating tracks is to get a pick on TC, or being in one of the Highest Rated feeds then we've lost something special between Trials HD and Evolution. In Trials HD the main goal of building a track was to build a track that you, and your friends, enjoyed playing. It seems to have dramatically changed with the advent of Track Central.
Build for yourself and, in time, recognition will follow.

And just for the record, i find Down the Stairs track fun to play occasionally.![]()

And there is nothing wrong with that. To each their own. The problem lies within the feed system. If there were more feeds and better ways to filter what your looking for, it would help to not see any of the tracks/games you're not interested in.
I'm personally not a fan of the gimmicky tracks, but I don't think they should just go away, or be downrated into oblivion. There should be a place for all types of tracks on TC.
This is RedLynx's first try at TC and I think they did a good job. I have high hopes that it will be expanded upon for Fusion and be even better and more user friendly.
Ikes, you hit the nail on the head. And track central was not meant to be taylored to a certain elite group of gamers that participate in a particular forum. It is okay to have an opinion on what we do and do not like, but track central is for ANYONE to create ANY track they want. I do think that new filters and catergories are the way to go, though. There is a much bigger demographic than this forum that play and decide what really makes a good track to each individual. I can't imagine a developer telling me my track was not good enough for release on there game for the public no matter how bad it was. If they did, they would lose customers and revenue from alienating gamers. Then there would be no Trials Fusion.Originally Posted by Ikes![]()
I'd actually love to see around 5 categories along these lines. Pure fun, Pure ninja, Pure trials, Pure crap (might need a better name for that one, maybe pure novelty? Gimmick may deter people!), Pure amusement (stuff like the cool Koyote Kaboom tracks kind of thing). That would be quite handy. Seperate feeds, seperate filters, the whole nine yards.Originally Posted by Monstified
As a side note, why hole NINE yards? Its ten for a first down. Never did understand that one!![]()
