About Shifty's quote; I knew that...
I think the title of this thread should be changed since the community of this games forum isn't really what this thread is about.
I would like to see TC with their own neat and tidy areas. Cuts the clutter and easier to see what kind of track should be where. The people that play those areas will let the person that uploaded in that area know if that track should be there or not by giving ratings more precisely. If it was wrong medal times, poor quality, too hard, or too easy the rating would suffer because the player would know that the track dosen't belong here. The track maker should take the fall for not knowing where their track should go, after all if they made it, they should know what it is that they make.
Didn't read whole thread, don't know if someone suggested this yet. Just make a longer list of track tags. A more specific way to separate the Something Wild/Funny tracks from serious tracks. Right now the only way is to use RedLynx Picks. If someone improperly tags a track, they get warned and eventually temporarily banned from U/Ling. Sounds complicated though. For the side of the "Don't Move #" tracks though, they've taught me a thing or two I wouldn't have found out otherwise. I can't hate completely and have released a few myself.
I don't talk to anyone else who plays Trials on a regular basis. So no one ever showed me fender hooks and I didn't play back on HD. Fender hooks are one thing I learned from those tracks and if someone wants to put time into them, then whatever. ( I like what I read from JVlower) You'd never try to hit some jumps at the angles you do in the don't move tracks either, at least, I didn't. Those seemingly lucky and insane wheelies off a ramp or near misses showed me the degree of variations of any kind of landing, flipping, etc. Oh and you don't disable gas. Makes it interesting to see who can find the best spot to exploit the track for 1st place
I'm glad they'd be picky about who gets a Wrench. I like to see one next to someone's name and know I'm about to play a regularly difficult, but good track.
I didn't read all the comments to see if anyone had suggested this yet...
But Track Central needs to be linked between all platforms.
For example, if someone makes and uploads a track on the xbox, then someone on PC can also play that track.
There could also be a feature to see which platform users make better tracks![]()
Seeing a down the stairs supercross in highest rated of all time supercross feeds on pc makes me sick, agree on the points in the first post.
^^ I agree on this, and this is the main issue I talk about here, multiple tracks by the same people with hardly any differences, and sometimes weird track names you never can seem to remember, numbers etc.It is when I see a continuous streak by the same editor of he exact same content which annoys me. In my own opinion that action is considered as laziness as there is no innovation from each and every attempt. I do not see why others who spend much more time creating tracks becoming very often hidden in the shadows.
It seems most of the problem tracks (duplicates/example tracks/floating obstacles etc.) come from people that don't seem to post on the forums here.
Which seems to be like 95% of track builders (talking for PC track central exclusively). So the problem cannot be stopped unless there's an abuse-proof rating/reporting system which is near impossible cause everyone releases tracks for different purposes.
I already suggested a rating system for fusion on multiple different points in the wishlist which takes things like theme/driveline/difficulty label rating etc. seperate.
It'd be no problem if they got rated low, but they don't, thus they become problem track in my opinion.
I often rate problem or duplicate tracks no more then 2,rarely 3 if it has an excellent driveline.
Right now the best I can do is ignore the problem tracks and just focus on releasing my own tracks and play other great tracks that are posted by the builders that make quality stuff consistently (which happens to mostly consist of people on the forum here or RL picks). I'm not angry at creators or tracks at all, just disappointed at times![]()
