    Track central's community must improve...

Before trials Fusion hits the market next year (or something like that) the majority of he community that releases tracks onto track central must improve he quality of heir tracks!

    Here are a few examples I am becoming tired of;

    • "DON'T MOVE (insert number here)" - these are as annoying to see in the top rated section as they are lazy and just generally boring. Any editor can mess about with various objects to see where he rider lands without him being controlled.

    • Ammatuer ninja tracks - please leave these tracks to the professionals, these types of tracks can be very, very frustrating when extremely hard obstacles are thrown together without an ounce of thought. Those editors who do successfully create these tracks, and I do admire them, vigorously test the obstacles to determine whether it is too hard or not.

    • Incorrect Medal times - we all make mistakes sometimes, I get that, but people seriously cannot grasp how to make appropriate medal times for their tracks and skill games.
I work out my trials medal times by:
    - running through your completed track at least 10 times to find your fastest time.
    - Take your fastest time and add on five seconds to find your platinum medal.
    - add on 15 seconds to your platinum time to find your gold time.
    - finally add another 15 seconds on to find your silver time.

    • "Dunk the basketball skill game" - you know who you are, if you are not going to change any features each day you upload another basketball skill game, you should really just stop.

    • "Down the stairs" - although funny to play, seeing these type of tracks in the top rated trails 48hr feed is a waste.

    • Think of original names! - there are too many tracks that go by the names such as "Try to make it" "Can you do it?" etc... These are very unoriginal names and sort of doesn't give you any recognition if you go for names similar to every body else.

    ...END OF RANT...

I was not trying to come across as being arrogant in this thread, but if the community remains to contain examples I have mentioned above, Fusion will surely follow suite.
If we get the message across now we will surely make trials Fusion the best trials yet.

I have also introduced a poll in this thread which asks you whether you agree with what I say, sign it if you wish, it will only act as a clearer message towards how many of you are in fact interested (or not) with this change.

Feel free also to add any of your own concerns you want to get off of your chest

Sadly, not enough players are on the forum to make any difference.

Although that may be true, we can still be an influence to the new forum members who may join in the future.

I agree. I already said it before, but make 2 sharing options. one friends, one public. You can always share with friends, but you have to unlock public sharing by obtaining a certain number off platinum medals. Or even make 2 Track Centrals for that purpose, or a whole different feeds for people with a certain amount of points
If this is not an option. Make bigger feeds, more feeds, and for the love of god, give us an subsribe option!!!!

To be honest but your method looks like it's not that good either. Look at ingame tracks, times are usually...
platinum: fastest time you can get on a track + 15/30 s
    gold: platinum + 30s
    silver: gold + 1min
    Depends on what difficulty/track tough

It would be nice to see the correct things done. You have actually given me an idea for this, and in what DJ has said about the prospect of new trials players joining this forum especially next year.I think that i will take what the O.P. states, and do it like a poster. But, instead of stating it as A MUST DO poster, it would have to be worded better..A recommendation of sorts, by the community..

    What do you think ??

I think the quality on TC was fine at the start.
I have supported 2/3 unknown builders back then that i saw as high potential builders.
Unfortunately if you have something that stands out it gets mowed down, these people stopped building.
Imo the TC community doesn't have to change but the people that play the tracks.
Show some appreciation when someone devotes his/her free time for YOUR entertainment.

Also the standards where confusing especially with the RL picks.
When you see lesser tracks getting picked over greater tracks then people started thinking i have to build something like that track to get a RL pick or get good ratings.

So you killed it yourselfs and now have to accept it that the quality seen at the start will never return.

this is not directed at the OP.

In many ways I do agree with you, except I do not believe that people on this forum are to blame. The trials community we see on the Xbox vary in age ALOT and so, if we take the don't move tracks as an example, players of a young age are able to complete them and also see them as being "cool", because they complete them they can rate them and that is why those tracks get publicity.
The basket ball skill games and down stairs tracks are similarly popular for the same reason.

That may be the problem we are having, the rating system may be too vague for the size the track central has became. Additional aspects of the track to have a rating on would hopefully bring better tracks to the surface.

You have a good point there, maybe i have to shift my blame to the kids instead of certain forum members.
and perhaps you are right with the rating system but i think it won't stop mindless ratings.
I personally think its best to have a special feed for downstairs etc so they can be buried there.
Then again someone has to move m there once a week, maybe someone at RL.
I think we have to accept that downstairs will never go away

I agree with your post 10000% but you're telling this to the wrong people. Most if not all builders on the forums don't do this and feel exactly the same as you. So in essence, you're preaching to the choir.

Haha maybe to show our hatred to the true people would be to create our very own track which shows visuals of basket ball, downstairs and don't move tracks all getting nuked
