    Police siren lights

How do I attach the siren lights to the cop car? I tried grouping and glueing it didn't work. I know I can use a OPE but is there any way to actually attach the lights to the car?

Groups are only useful in the editor, else you have to use glue. How are you trying to attach them?

if you are OPE the car then you know its location, from there its just a matter of finding the correct offset location for the lights, feeding that data into another OPE for the lights and then setting up a curved data source to make it rotate (not local).

    re-cap

position of car + two input operators (or Vector) to add on the X/Y/Z locations for light position
Curved Data Source set to loop 0 to 360 for the light rotation
glue red/blue spot lights back to back and use OPE with new position and rotation to move into place

Oh das, you always over-complicate thing, I love it.
The newbie only needed to know about glue groups

I think he needs a moderator beside him which edits his posts with easier descriptions every time he posts a level editor reply! Sorry das!

indeed glue grouping was mentioned by Jolan and is how to do it, nothing wrong with adding to an idea, Bacon knows OPE so why not take it further and animate the lights. i dont think my description is intimidating, far from it, car location + offset = roof location for lights.

    meh

you don't need the offset really, jonst move the glue joint and treat the lights as helicopter blades
