New Track (that might actually not suck!)

Tentatively called "Flying Things", but I'll decide a more fitting title once it is complete.

I'm building up a the hype now, so the painful amount of detail I put into the aforementioned "flying things" will be worth the effort.

Most likely, the track will consist of flowing jumps, but the track pieces will move, parts will explode, and other typical trials stuff- so it might not always work perfectly. As with most of my (pitiful) ideas, the track will be relatively short, unless I find inspiration that makes it worth continuing without being boring.

I'm trying to incorporate moving parts and more advanced techniques I have picked up on, but it's slow going. But I'll keep this updated on my progress as construction continues. I'll even post a screenshot at some point.

Meanwhile, I still need something unique to put it over the edge, but it's a long way from done.

    GT: PartiallyCylon

Update: They moooveee! (those giant floating platforms float on jet power)

I just need a crazy finish, like crashing the last one into something... then I'll place the Oscar-worthy cinematography I have planned and add sound effects, then it'll be complete!

    Trying this now.

Edit: track has a lot of potential. A few observations:

    - jumps very hard to hit on anything other than the scorpion...especially from checkpoint restarts. Ensure jumps are reasonably doable while in motion and from a stand still.

    - minor lag in some parts of the track, not sure if you tried messing with draw distance settings? But I feel it could have been eliminated.

    - jump across finish line could sometime result in the rider hitting the cross beam and crashing.

This was a decent track, but With the above few things fixed up, this Would have been a better track. Keep on building I'm sure your next track will be really good if this is a sign of things to come.

I agree, the track was pretty fun, with a nice flow and the flying ramps looked good.
Keep on building, but be sure to watch out for any lag in future creations!

Hi, the track doesn't suck at all! In fact I rather enjoyed it. Can't believe it only got 20 downloads.

An instant fix for many of the issues others have pointed out though would be to turn off the physics
on all of the platforms. The jet engines give the illusion of flying already & if the platforms are moving it's
so minimal that I can't even see it. The only way I can tell physics are actually on is the fact that the bike tires chatter
along the driving surface making them lose contact & making it a bit inconsistent at times.
You could just apply the physics to some of the clouds instead. Raise them up a bit, "disable world Gravity"
on them & then manually set the rate at which you would like them to rise or fall along your track.

I'll check out a few of your other tracks today as well. If this was one of your lower rated tracks I'm interested
to see some of the others! As mentioned above, you've got potential. I think we'll be hearing more from you.
