Good on you for taking the time to keep this thread going gerbs, you must have saved a lot of people a lot of cash, or at least saved them time looking for deals. A+ buddy.

However, I have been on Xbox 360 since day one, played hundreds of games, only picking up a PS3 for exclusives much later on.

I have switched to PS4 for next gen (XB1 only for exclusives), and have to say (without wishing to sound like a Sony fanboy), the M$ XBL 'deals' and 'games for gold' are a complete joke compared to PS Plus...it astonishes me how different the quality, quantity and age of the games being offered really is. Astonishing but not overly surprising seeing how greedy and reluctant M$ are to reward subscribers.

I am sure many will appreciate this thread, those who stay on Xbox that is, so thanks gerbs I certainly meant to belittle M$ and NOT you with my grumble!

Isn't the deals for every xbox live account sale, the 2014 countdown sale?
Wasn't Gold meant for the servers not FGwG and DotW? These two are just additions, you get the biggest benefit having faster servers for downloading, multiplayer etc, which I've heard lacks on PS3, despite being free.

You heard wrong, I've had NO issues on PSN in terms of performance. The free games are a MASSIVE bonus. While games for gold gave out AC2, PS Plus gave out AC3 as well as other games. Games for gold is really quite ****, I dont think there's really any argument on that. You yourself have complained about it, for various reasons, such as getting worse games due to location and the games being generally outdated.

PS Plus is hugely better than games for gold in terms of the free games offered, its no competition. Its like comparing 360's party chat to the PS3's ****ty dashboard only private chat system (which fortunately is now party chat on PS4).

This is a deals of xbox live thread, and no need to say PS+ games is better than GwG. GwG only begun on June as a new offer. How would anyone imagine having 300K servers on Xbox One and 15K servers on Xbox 360 for free? Sony never said their # of servers so they probably only have 1K or less, hearing from people who have both consoles say PlayStation 3 MP is slow.

Gold was meant for online in the first place when Gold Membership existed. PS+ is meant for free games, and now what? Sony charges you for MP too, but still almost no one complains on that while they complain that MS offers monthly free games?! People complain "Free Games with gold are outdated and @#$%!" bla bla bla which is actually a bonus for the gold subscribers, not a money sucker for MS.

Learn to be happy what you have.

This week & today's deals are awesome! I gonna grab Peggle + Nights and also PvZ since they are 1 buck and I've played the demo also my family would hang out on these games too.

Can everybody tell me how it Midnight Club LA? I am interested in that since it's freestyle driving and it's from Rockstar. Also is Flashback good? I just wanna try out some story games since my game library lacks of RPG.
