    Back to Basics?

Is there an efficient way to create a flat world without copy-pasting a bunch of floor tiles?

Using interior of seed buildings seems to work, until either the complexity gets out of control, or going though and changing all of the walls and ceilings to invisible drives you mad.

Basically, I want to create a track in a similar style to the old Trials HD environment. Any suggestions on how to start out?

    Re: Back to Basics?

If you have the DLC you could use a block seed building for the bland/flatness, but there is the complexity issues with that too.
I think you're trying to hide all the environment, you could adjust the fog to hide alot of things.

    Hope that may have helped.

It's actually less about hiding the environment than just creating a huge perfectly flat area.

Just keep experimenting, you'll find a right way to do what you need to pull it off. Always a way in the editor if you just try.
It's great that this forum is here for help, I've been helped many times.

Have you tried the flat surface in the terrain mods? It might be tough to line up a bunch of flat terrains, it may be too bumpy.
If you try that, don't forget to make the flat surface as big as possible.

    Re: Back to Basics?

Is it flat earth you want or just flat "something"?

flat earth i think is harder.. A level surface is easy enough but pain staking

do you want a flat back ground?

you can create a small lathe area and then group copy?
or use a long straight custom collision for the DL and cover with a decoration only "mask" for the detail, maybe using seed buildings?
