My personal opinion; Leave that circle right where it is. Pull the camera back just a little if you need better sight of an obstacle. And camera events for crashes/endings only.

The problem with custom cameras, is that once you set them down, its easy to accustom yourself to them while in the editor and grow to assume that they are fine.
Then when someone else plays it, they immediately notice that its out of place and its MUCH more difficult for them to adjust, and it can easily ruin a track for people - plus that is assuming the camera angle you have set is at least fairly well placed, which most custom cams aren't.

I can kinda see why people want to include custom cams, maybe for a little variance and of course certain situations call for them, but I would seriously recommend ALWAYS sticking with default wherever possible - custom cameras don't innovate, they don't impress people and they very rarely add anything to a track - they are there as a necessity... and they are rarely necessary imo, so don't take the risk

the worst culprits are the one were people spent 5 minuets on the drive line and then force you to see something they spent most of the time on as your driving past .custom cam changes also mess with how the bike handles from cam to cam .so to many and you cant get a feel for the bike as the cam keeps changing and the balance points change .irritating .the only person allowed to do this was medieval genius for his statue of liberty .

i ALWAYS used custom cams, and more thana couple in my first few tracks, just for the sake of it.I asked this question a good few months ago now, and 100% people agreed on default.I always stick to that now, and im glad cos it got me out of a bad habbit, kinda what willy was saying..That said, ive recently used 3 cameras in my last track, but they were deliberately placed.I even set the interpolation speed etc ,so as to not ruin the experience for the rider.Im not self promoting but play SEA TRIALS, and you will see exactly why i used them. They could have been done more better IMO, but they work..

This is so true! Its really fun in the editor experimenting with cam views, but when i play some other tracks i usually wind up pressing back button Big load off my shoulders! Thanks for that!

If you have to use custom cameras, don't leave the interpolation amount to 100. Adjust it so that the change in the camera movement is as small as possible to avoid those sudden jerks in the camera motion while still getting the desired camera angle.
