b2c3's TV & Movie Themed Competition
Just wanted to announce a competition that I've wanted to have for sometime now that has an entertaining twist.
The theme is tracks based on any TV Show or Movie made.
Guidelines:
- Tracks must be Trials only, no Skill Games or Supercross tracks allowed.
- Difficulty: Beginner to Extreme. No Ninja tracks. (We want tracks that all of our judges can pass)
- Nothing re-uploaded or slightly altered from a previous Movie/TV theme track and uploaded to TC (Tracks will be checked thoroughly)
- Track length: At least 20secs Platinum time
- One entry per person. No Teams. Splitting prizes could get messy.
- Tracks must be submitted between July 1st, 2013 and September 1st, 11:59 EST
- Once a track is submitted you're stuck with it, create a few and see how they do before you commit.
- To submit a track just post the exact Track Name and your exact Gamertag in this thread.
Details for prizes will follow soon but they will include the following:
MS Points, Custom T's, Custom Keychains and more.
There will be at least prizes for the top 5 and definitely some random prizes.
The scoring will be just like most other competitions. Consult HPVenomz for a chart.
I am looking for a few judges for this competition. Hopefully someone who has judged before or has placed high in a competition so they can give great feedback on DL's and detail. Hopefully a judge can be in the EU for MS points reasons.
could paypal cash to buy points for use in the EU)
So.......get watching some of your favorite shows and movies for inspiration!
You've got two whole months to create some great themed tracks. I've got my ideas, do you have yours?

I think this is a great idea, but now there is a Mutti contest running, and everybody wants those controllers and the BMX!
Only what always brings me down is that there are no skill games allowed in the current comps, while I like creating skill games and want to make more instead making trials tracks.

Re: b2c3's TV & Movie Themed Competition
I was wanting to throw a competition for awhile now and had settled on this theme since there are so many inspirations from TV & Movies. I'm going to be putting up some of my own money for prizes and collectible stuff which should be an incentive. It does suck that Muttis has their competition going on right now (there's doesn't start until the 15th), mine would have been starting tomorrow for two months but I don't see any real interest about this so.
It sucks to say that I'd pull the plug before even getting started due to no interest but that appears what I might have to do.
I'll wait just a little bit longer, see if anything happens.
Thanks for the reply though Blaster.

I'm WELL up for this
If you are still running it?
Sounds awesome.. Comps seem more fun when they are focused on a rough theme as opposed to just build a track
Bit like morphy boys random theme track.. Great idea, I would have a go at that if I thought I had any time in the next couple of weeks
I'm up for your comp as it allows a bit of time for "real life" to get in the way

Re: b2c3's TV & Movie Themed Competition
Glad to see someone might be interested. I wanted to have a pretty long comp. entry time so you could have a fun summer and still build a cool track with a unique theme. Maybe when I put up more details about the prizes that'll intrigue more people to enter. I'll get some things together and see if it can gather interest in this possible competition.

Re: b2c3's TV & Movie Themed Competition
I'm going to scrap this whole competition for now. Might try to throw this is the future but its unsure as of now.
No real interest from more than a couple people so that's a pretty big disappointment. It's probably for the best as there's some pretty shattering stuff going on in my life right now.
Keep making that track Meenie, I'm still going to build some tv/movie tracks for the possible future competition.
