I thought this might be fun and wondering what odd or random things you do in trials.
For me, I dont know why but when I play a new track, it has become a habit of always reversing first to see if the person who has created the track has made sure they have stopped me from doing so, or have made a mistake of forgetting to do it.
I dont know why I do it, but I suppose it all works out very very rarely when the odd occasion i get the reward of getting eaten by a shark, run over or getting carried away on a boat, but after that I just do the track as normal.
I hope some may do the same, or I may just look even more crazy than I thought.

Just watch a previous persons replay, and then I have at it. To try for clean runs first I try not to over jump things but jump high instead if you know what I mean. (depending on track)
Then if that goes well I play it for speed.
If I like the track and my time is good then I'll screw around on it. Checking bombs a finding nooks and crannies.

Then I ride a RITZ cracker!

I try time-wasting tricks and wheelies on things, and if the Donkey is available I use that no matter what my score.

When trying to beat one of my own records, I will race against one of my friends ghosts that is considerably slower than my own time.

I pay less attention to the split times because they are always green.

When I can't speed run a track properly I take my frustration out by making my rider crash into things. It makes me think maybe he don't wanna get hurt anymore so now I could possibly do the track better now.
