From an unbiased perspective you basically just said "Having more control over your rider is ******ed in a time trials game". See how dumb that sounds?

    In your opinion.

Personally I'm really looking forward to having tricks as AN ADDITION to the core trials game.

Personally the inclusion of tricks in the game is a great addition

What is not cool is if they are abused in the "core" of trials,
What a lot of us competetive players have come to love about trials

List of things, I think would hurt the "core" for competetive players:
-Using a trick to clear over an object or under an object that isn't possible without using FMX, Or if FMX makes it easier
-Using a trick to cross the finish line faster in the air by using a trick that extends the riders head further (Proud hero etc)
^ [Edit: I just read mutetus stated you can't but my eyes must be deceiving me because it looks much further forward on some of them]
-Using a trick to impact with an obstacle in such a way that you can make a timesaver/skip a part of a track
-A trick giving any type of speedboost in any scenario, landing, jumping, anything. (You never know what can be found)

If any of these are possible, Imo it impacts the core of trials as we know it.

Why would you want to trick in the single player mode for any other reason then to show off?

I don't hate tricks I think they will be an awesome addition,
I just hate the idea that it's inevitable someone will figure out a way to abuse them to Glitch/Boost/Skip in Single player.

Yeah, I'm hoping they cant be exploited for an advantage so that we end up with a bunch of "sewage plant" style gimmick tracks. I'd rather have an option to choose pure, fmx or whatever for each track, with only pure allowing a time to be considered for medals/leaderboards.

But I have faith it will all work out.

I understand what everyone is saying, but I (and i think a lot of people will who arnt on the forums) like how your able to do tricks in the core Trials mode. Im excited to show off at certain points! But i also see how in career more and TC tracks especially, if theres parts where you maybe do a trick that makes your bike get pushed towards the ground quicker (thus getting speed from your tires being on the ground faster) then it would be an annoyance trying to compete for top times and having to time a trick perfectly, but then again, we may end up likeing something like that. Were just against it right now cause were used to Trials how it is

the question is are the tricks consistent or not
because you are already doing tricks while speedrunning
you are making frontflips to gain the slightest ammount of extra momentum during landing
you pull wheelies to clear jumps better
    etc

but i aggree its VERY dangerous to add them to regular trials
but i understand why they did it else it wouldn't be much different from some meaningless skillgames
