Yeah developers and publishers are really careful these days. That's exactly the reason I believe there won't be any huge investment in Kinect only games from third party developers.

Yeah but the developers know that all the people who bought a Kinect have an expressed interest in motion control gaming. That's why these ~20 Million Kinect owners would be even more likely to buy these kind of games than the rest of the xbox owners. Still there are no games. In comparison the Wii U has sold around 4 million units and developers still develop games for it. When the xboxone is released it will take a while to sell 30 million and even those people might not all be interested in Kinect features. Even the one Kinect flagship title, Ryse is no longer Kinect only because it didn't feel right for the developer.
Developers dont make kinect games because most people who have the kinect regret it and have forgotten about that stupid camera they shoved in a drawer.

There are 7 listings in my town for used xbox 360's and one PS3 listing that had already been taken down. People still seem to be mad at Microsoft...

I switched my vote over to the Xbox One from the PS4. I might eventually still get a PS4 but I'll have the Xbox One first.

I'm planning on buying Fusion on the Xbox One. I'm not worried about the security issues with the camera. And the HDMI passthrough feature has a lot of my family members wanting me to buy it. I live in a house where I'm the only major gamer, but the rest of my family still wants this console because it is so much more than just a console. Shifty is right about a lot of his points, especially with the data collection from ALL CONSOLES. Your Ps3, Xbox 360, Wii, Xbox, Ps2 have all been collecting data and sending to Microsoft AND Sony for the last decade. It's how companies learn about their audiances, so they can gear their new features and products towards them. The only true issue anyone can have with the Xbox One is it's price because of the kinect, but it's only an extra $100, so it's not that staggering anyway.

Actually, if there are families some would get a Xbox One, and some a PS4 with PS Eye to play motion games, then both would cost about the same at the end of the day, because it looks like that is a 100$ equipment. In fact, Microsoft said that the Kinect sensor cost almost so much as the console itself for them to produce, that mean that could be more than 150$, THAT MEANS, if they make Kinect-optional Xbox one bundle one day, it WILL be cheaper than PS4 console.

Now think about the PS4's controller. It looks like going to be more expensive than before from PS3 because of the touch pad and the blue LED light. And that could be also 60$ /+ at the launch of PS4.

I do agree with you that a Xbox One is more than just a console, which I wonder what will be different in PS4 except waching others play & only gaming related stuff. In my opinion, the 100$ more from Xbox One is actually worthy, and I don't care about the console's price, I care about the price of the games and freeware, which is actually the most money consumer, because who wants a console but no games?

Best case scenario, as of January 2012, is that 1/3rd of the target audience has Kinect. That means 60% (or more) of Xbox 360 console owners do not own a Kinect. That's a pretty big difference when it comes to programming games. Do you make the game so that more users can play it, or do you make it so that a smaller group can play it with motion controls?

With every XB1 shipping with Kinect you go from 60% to 100%. Each and every Xbox One will have Kinect.
even if only 10million of those 24 are "in function" that is still a valueable game market to develop for if the people are willing to buy the games and i don't see why devs would if they had a great idea they think could work

how many games have we seen that aren't complete ****? or even considered good? besides dance games
I love dance games, they're GROOVY
