You make great points there shifty, some that I didn't even realise.Originally Posted by ShiftySamurai

Yeah, but I dont HAVE to have a PS eye and I dont HAVE to leave it connected and HAVE to have it on. Its a choice. Unlike KInect. I dont mind kinect at all. I do mind paying an extra £80 for the pleasure of having it and having to have it connected and turned on (sorry, but if it can hear "xbox on" and "xbox off" then the fn thing is turned on in my book). Hence MS can kiss my *** this time round.Originally Posted by Blastergamer
The one thing that erks my chain the most about the Xbox ONE the most is how a huge monopoly company like Microsoft is gonna collect so mutch data from anybody that is going to buy one of these things. It's gonna take stuff that is starting to get popular by some pretty crazy people and Microsoft is gonna milk the crap out of it. As an example with having to get MINECRAFT and HALO out right away for starters, and it's gonna get worst because everytime anyone uses it, that is answering a survey about where the world is giving their money and their attention to.
I don't like this at all because I know my tastes are different than most of the crap that has been popular especially lately. Like for instants: Justin Beiber(?), Pollie Pocket, Twilight, fashion shows, drama TVseries, and being metrosexual to name a few. Xbox ONE is going to know what sells and that is this "being connected" is all about.
We are all pawns in this game... this sucks.Staying on topic now. I plan on keeping my Xbox 360 as I find it really wasteful to not use it anymore. If I were to pick up the Xbox ONE, and I am not, I wouldn't be able to have them logged into my account at the same time. Xbox boots the previous Gamer Tag account off when that same Gamer Tag account signs in. So if you have the Xbox ONE, don't expect that getting to play your old 360 to be any easier. Now you'll have to work around each of these systems.
People must have some seriously secretive lives if they don't want a company as big as Microsoft listen to their conversation if they are listening at all. The only time they are ALLOWED to share any information about their clients is when you plan to murder somebody![]()
I don't see the reason why everybody is so paranoid, every company such as Facebook and twitter collects twice as much data from you than the Xbox one does, I see no complaining about them.
The conclusion of it all is that none of this is really about a non-bias approach to the Xbox, there is still very much a fanboy in all of us![]()
What ever you plan on getting is your choice but I really don't want to have only one gaming system on at a time. Like having a wife or kids that would want to watch their shows while I want to play TRIALS FUSION on the other console. Can't do that on one account. So you'll have to start a new account and pay for another gold membership and start over with achiements.Originally Posted by T2idingJVlower
Seems to me the most logcal solution is to keep the 360 as it works. Pick up a PS4 so as to not get complications with the 360. If the 360 goes to hell, then would be the time to pick up a Xbox ONE so to keep my profile active with my stats and apps.
Are you really saying that Xbox One will collect data, but Sony won't? Your Xbox 360 or PS3 already collects a ton of data about your play habits. Who you play with, what you play, what youi watch, how often you use netflix/Hulu...Originally Posted by T2idingJVlower
It's the way that it works and how companies tailor advertising. Also, Halo and Minecraft sell like nearly nothing else, it would be silly to have them absent from the launch lineup.
I think my Xbox has done fairly well with what it is trying to sell me lately, except the Kanye West album... No thanks. Doritos and Mountain Dew? I think that's a staple in the dietary consumption of all (most) American Male gamers.Originally Posted by T2idingJVlower
Look, you are still going to be able to game on a PS4/Xbox One, but you will have more entertainment options available to you.
You shouldn't be able to be logged into the same account from two different consoles. Pretty much nothing allows that except for Hotmail (Outlook Live). You can, however, migrate your licenses over to your Xbox 360, and then any account can be signed into the console and be able to play your digital games.Originally Posted by T2idingJVlower
So you can be signed in and playing on Xbox One, and your friend/sister/mother/uncle/whatever can be logged into the X360 on their account playing games that were bought on your account. You can only really play one console at a time, so being able to log in from different locations at the same time seems like a bit of a non-issue to me.
More on Kinect: My wife loves the futuristic "vision" of being able to talk to the TV and have it listen. I hear people saying "It's smart" and "it's cool". I hear this from people who DO NOT PLAY GAMES. This means that non-gamers are seriously considering dropping $500 on a console. Maybe the super hardcore have some issues with what's coming next, but the hardcore are not a majority. Gamers are being catered to with fairly powerful machines, Twitch/Ustream support, and larger friend lists, among other things.
Including a Kinect with each system doesn't mean that devs are going to start throwing arbitrary Kinect features into every game, but it means that if they want to design a game based on Kinect then each and every Xbox One owner will be a potential sale. It's a smart move by MS, as it will allow for devs to further drive improvements to the software tech behind Kinect.
Also, it's the same price the PS3 released at 7 years ago...

Me and my family have a contest from time to time. When a TV show ends on netflix, everybody starts saying "Xbox, next episode." We try to see who gets it to actually work, and it takes up to 20-30 tries sometimes. That is honestly the most fun we have gotten out of the piece of sh.... uhh... junk.
Also, the PS3 suffered a lot because of its outragous launch price.
