Screen crashes after Redlynx logo. | Forums

When I go into Trials the screen crashes after the Redlynx logo, but I can still hear the menu music. I changed the resolution and that's when it started. My monitor goes blue and says no signal. I have to go into task manager to get my screen back again when it happens. Is there a config file or a way of changing the resolution outside of the game, so that I can play the game again?

I have the same problem, the game crashing after RedLynx logo. It doesn't return to desktop though, the music just plays for a while in the background and the screen remains black. I hadn't played the game for a couple of weeks and now that I started it, UPlay updated and the game hasn't worked since. I tried re-installing Uplay and Trials, tried installing previous Nvidia drivers and have tried running the game as an admin and in compatibility mode with XP Service pack 3, but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it because of the UPlay update? Have others had the same problem?

I've been having the frame rate issues since the beginning too and nothing has helped for those, but this problem is even worse as I can't even start the game. Any help would be appreciated!

^ I got the same problem today, first time it has ever happened for me. I guess it must be related to the server maintenance?

I just alt-tabbed out while the screen was black and I got tabbed in after a few minutes and the click to start thing was there. Seems to be working fine now (except for the online stuff obviously).

Same thing started happening to me today while I played just fine yesterday online and offline.

Screen freezes at the Trial's Gold logo (press enter), menu music keeps playing for a while and then nothing else, its just black screen if I try to alt-tab.

Edit: Somehow after starting trialsfmx via a shortcut (in admin mode) with Uplay running it works again for now, dunno if that is a fix or not for others, just my own experience. Weird issues.
